what was the answer to the question with three circles with three tangent lines

^

6/7

For the question that had the parabola and finding a distance a (or k?) , what answer choice did you guys pick?

I forgot what I picked but I rememeber the letter I picked.

O_O you mean the one where radius was
x, x/2, x/3
and their total area was pi?

did anyone else hesitate longer than normally for the math question that asked you to find an angle between 3 equilateral triangles with a center of O?
it took me a couple tries to come up with the right diagram to solve it
i think the answer was 60 degrees

parabola: a + [(b-a)/2)]
and then just simply it till you the answer in terms of what they asked for… don’t remember though

oh wait, i think I got 2a - something … E or something

I don’t remember having that equilateral problem.

Oh man there was a very tough math question that I skipped…It dealt with a circle and arcs and degrees…the answer was in fraction form. I don’t remember the question lol…but it was very hard. i simply skipped that crap…

Didn’t get equilateral either

oh, perhaps it was the experimental section because i had 4 math sections

Wait, so is it 4/7 or 6/7 for the uphill, downhill problem ? I am confused now

Answer was 2k - a.

Plug and chug is all you need.

DMOC,

the answer to that parabola one was b=2k-a.

[it asked you to find b in terms of k and a, where a and b were the roots of the parabola and where the line of symmetry was x=k]

4/7 for the uphill/downhill one. I’m sure on this.

Hmm…

On that parabola one I’m purdy sure the answer was b = a-k or k-a. I can’t remmeber what order… But the parabola/dividing line was on the negative side.

Definitely 2k -a for parabola, letter a)

i’m quite sure its 6/7…

For that one fill in, do I get it wrong if I put the slope as 1 instead of 3/4 and put 5 as my answer? Please say no. :(

nyuismydream,

6/7 WAS the answer to a different question. but for the uphill/downhill question, the answer was 4/7.

the downhill one, does anyone remember what letter it was for the MC?

yeah, can you guys refer to where the exact prompt was posted ? I need to check my result by redoing this problem. I am pretty sure I got this one right
