I put:

The result, of this film and other episodes,…

Was the comma necessary? This question had me confounded

I put:

Was the comma necessary? This question had me confounded

That’s actually an interesting tip. I wonder if it works all the time… I’ll keep it mind, thanks!

^^Fisa,

I would say that it is necessary because the clause inside is nonessential, and so requries commas. But it’s a rather subjective rule.

@Fisa, yes that required commas.

Are you guys sure that the “The result, of this film and others,” was underlined? I thought it was just “The result” part.

The “The result, of this film and others,” was underlined.

I really wish i remember what i put for this question. But i can’t remember what i put

This and the “awaken” question may have gotten me the -2. But IDRK.

Haha, I thought the awaken question was hard. But I luckily went with awakened, that was probably one of the hardest questions on the test.

So far, I only go the the “not unintentianonlly question incorrect”, can someone start a consolidated list.

^I had awakened at first. That was first inclination. But of course I never go with my first inclination due to my stupidity. GRRRRR

I don’t understand the fuss about awaken. I thought it was the most obvious question

“I was awaken by noises” sounds so wrong.

^I thought “awakened” was past participle, not past tense. That’s why i changed my answer.

@ WongTongTong - so it was “not unintentionally”? People were putting ironic - which one is right?

^TCJ: I actually put ironically and I was fairly confident in my answer. Not unintentionally means intentionally and another answer listed meant the same thing as ‘not unintentionally’, and since there can only be ONE right answer, I went with ironically since that made sense.

However, I am not sure.

WongTongTong, i don’t think there was another answer similar to intentionally

Here is my attempt for the consolidated list:

Correct me if I’m wrong on the last 3:
13) “Look it’s an Orion,” my father says, keeling… ?
14) first star, the beginning of a life long…
15) (when the author was stargazing at home) - I chose the one that described the moment when they gazed at the Orion shining in the sky.

^I am pretty sure there was because I remember saying to my self “oh wait these two mean pretty much the same thing, neither of them can be the answer.”

Moreover, why cant ironically be the answer. Because they were not expecting to make the film like the old one, but it turned out so. So wouldn’t it be ironically?

Hi guys, i did the international ACT and i was wondering were we suppose to or did we get different tests than the US ACT ? I am just trying to understand why theres a septate thread for international ACT ppl.

The question was:

Which answer choice most specifically conveys the idea that they purposely made the new Galactica music different from the old one?

I think intentionally fits best, but I see where you’re getting ironically from. It was between ironically and non unintentionally, but in the end i chose non unintentionally.

Wait, if the question said “they purposely made”, then I am clearly wrong, the answer is definitely not unintentionally.

But I read the question more than once and I don 't remember it saying purposely… >.<
