***october 2011 sat international curve***

What do you guys think the curve will be?

Writing: It was fairly easy, except for a few obscure idioms like the "as many" question and the Hamlet question. Not hard, but not very easy.

CR: Okay, I thought this was pretty tough...the grandma passage and the folktale passage (and the Japan short passage) had so many 50/50s. The building passage and monarch butterfly, from what I remember were pretty easy. Anybody expecting a -3 800?

Math: I don't generally find math challenging, and there weren't any particularly hard questions. The cube question did kind of stump me, but you just add another layer to the previous. Im thinking a -1 790?

BUMP I’m surprised nobody’s reading this…

I guess math -1 770 but 790 is best!! I got 1 wrong…

-1 770 is pretty harsh…is it that much?

Oh, gosh. I made one mistake in Grammar section already…
I forgot that “suggest to do” is unidiomatic… Damn!

How about the question that goes like “If he had begun sooner…”, what did you put? I chose E for this question…

Hope I got 12 in the essay, so that I still can get 780ish for WR. lol

math is above average but not too hard. I will go with -1 780

Oh how I hope it is -1 790. One of the math was an experimental, though - the cube question, was that in either section 5 or 6? I think it’s either one of those that are in the experimental.

why is everybody bothered about cube question? it was 70 right.

yeah it was 70 and it wasn’t experimental because I had CR as experimental section and yet got the cube question.

I would like to believe that:

-1 in math would be 780 and -2 would be 760, coz math was reasonably tough.

specific: did you get the question about the circle inside the shaded square? the answer was supposed to be pi root 2r or something?

yeah… answer was squareroot (2*pi) *r. Yet I got an easy question wrong despite getting all the supposedly difficult questions right like those of cubes, shaded square and circle etc.

In June ,-1 is 760.

i cant find any information about the november 2010 curve @@

if it helps, November 2010 was -10 650.
Cause that’s what I got. :p

Lyra145, you’re international? -10 means 8 wrong and you get 650? Quite hard!

That is pretty harsh, considering -8 is a 700 on the SAT score calculator.

A friend took the Nov 2010 and the range for math for 31 right was 520-580. (9 incorrect and 14 omitted). Maybe we can calculate now

@Springtransfer12
assuming he missed only multiple choice questions…
Math: 550
According to SAT score calculator. That’s… about the range…?

He did get 550
