October 2012 SAT Discussion

I got x+y+z<270. I don’t think it was greater than in the answer choice.

was the whale one 1/8

Does anyone remember if the one with the parabola was multiple choice, and if so, what were the choices?

Thanks!

@ anysky

Polymath is right.
I put subversive, but don’t know if it’s right. Subversive seemed right because the elite resorted to vocal stuff and the alphabet threatened them.

@anysky which was the question you answered with ‘subversive’?

that was sea creature one. But i wasn’t sure about that. Anyways I put elucidate too.

Some please help me with the sentence completion question about the critics.
Critics don’t have to something enjoyment but shouldnt be in their decision …

Does anyone remember if the one with the parabola was multiple choice, and if so, what were the choices?

Thanks!

I really don’t think that the answer for the dino was puzzling phenomena. Anyone remember the other choices?

@anysky i answered ‘inhibit’…‘skew’ for the critics one

elucidate was not the answer, it was like defy, disparage or something.

and what question was subversive that doesnt sound familiar

@ anysky

inhibit, skew

@avb1194

How Greeks responded when the alphabet was first introduced

yeah inhibit skew i think was the right answer. and i think the answer to the dino was puzzling phenoma

The answer was superfluous, not subversive.

Subversive was an option in the passage of the Greek alphabet for question on how the alphabet was received in the initial days.

does anyone remember what sentence completion had elucidate in it?

Does anyone remember if the whale one was 1/8? Thanks in advance.

@anysky for that greek alphabet one i actually answered with ‘superfluous.’ oh well

anyone can give the writing section today’s thread??

Are you sure it is superfluous ? Superfluous is more like it is no longer needed or too much.
