October 2014 ACT discussion thread

@ScreenSaver‌ Ya I knew it would be bad before it came out but wasn’t expecting it to be that low… I’ve just been speaking English for a bit more than 2 years though…

Took a little bit of English prep (terrible English program at my HS, by the way). Otherwise, I barely studied.

Composite: 30
English: 27
Math: 29
Reading: 27 (???)
Science: 35 (!!!)

Very big improvement over my 25 of April. However, I always have a score that is obscenely higher than my others. (Reading was a 32 in April, amidst scores of lower 20s). So, my superscore is up to a 31!

Will be taking with the writing portion in December now that I realize my potential, and will study a lot for it. Hoping for a 32 my next time out.

I was planning to apply to a college that don’t allow Score Choice. I wonder if my drop on the ACT from a 33 to 31 will negatively impact me…

I missed one on the math and got a 35, 2 on Reading got a 33, 3 on English 33. 74A

@An1100345 I hope not because I dropped from a 33 to a 32, and the worst part is, my superscore is a 33.25… my superscore is one point off from a 34, but that was my third and last time taking it. …

Anyone? How long will a registered person usually have to wait? Ugh it’s killing me

Estimate was a 32 or a 33. Got a 35!!! Afraid I am dreaming. 36,36,36,31

First time taking one with minimal studying…

Composite: 33
English: 34
Math: 33
Reading: 31 :frowning:
Science: 33

From looking at results on this thread it seems like scores are extremely high!! Does anyone who’s taken an ACT before think this was easier/harder than prior tests?

I wish more “average” people would post in these forums haha. My ego is getting pounded like a female dog.

How do you find out how many you missed on each section?

Pay money for the report. Or guess.

anyone who feels bad that they didn’t do well don’t. I studied so hard and have come so far and I can help anyone who wants! I got a 28 in April, 31 in June and now a 34 and went from a 29/27/29/25 to a 35/34/34/34

@AlbertCollege‌

I don’t think they have the reports for the October test

Congrats to all those that posted before me! Good luck with those college apps!

Got that composite 35. 35 35 35 35. Next time, UNC!

35 C, 33 35 36 36. Was hoping for 36 math but oh well.

P.S. Does anyone know if they messed up on my english score? It says:

Usage/Mechanics 17
Rhetorical Skills 18

but gives a 33 overall score for english. Is this weird or common?
