Ahh I’m glad some of you guys think the math was harder than usual! This was my first time taking the ACT, and I’ve only taken one practice test. I had no problem with the time constraint on the practice test, but I seriously just had to put B or G on 10 of them because I mismanaged my time. When do you think I should retake the test? Is December too soon? The worst part is that I think I did pretty well on the other sections, although the science was a little rushed.

and the other one where it was like 3 quarts: 5/12 full ; 1/3 full ; and 5/6 full. if they are all added with the same amount, what fraction of the full will they be

the reflection over the y - axis graph. did you just have to shift the graph to the right a to the positive side of graph. so the graph is mainly just in quadrants I & IV???

can someone give an explanation on the angle inside circle one? it was sum of 2 angles, and everyone says its 45, but, in less im recalling it wrong, one of the 2 angles you add was 45, the other was like 15… i think i got 60

@defianced.
The angle they give you is 90. so the angle that shares the same arc is one half the angle they give you in the first place. when you draw it out, they angle that shared the same arc with the 90 degree one is HALF of 90. its one of geometry rules.
So the inner angle is 45. the whole shape has total degree of 360.
so. lets say the two angles they ask you is x and y
x+y+45+270=360
x+y=45. i got the 270 because 360-90 (the angle they give you) give the obtuse angle for the shape

Oh wow, I carelessly put 2 values also. I’m at -4 Now… Agh. Careless nonsense.

For the triangle and the circle circumscribing it, was the triangle supposed to be inside the circle or the other way around? I couldn’t tell which one it was asking because of the wording… I took geometry in 8th grade and I’m a senior now -_- Can’t remember that far back haha. Worse, there was an answer choice for each situation! Talk about cruel.

@Mada34 - I put C, the middle value as well, but I don’t believe it’s correct because if you work it out, it should be 64+63+62+61+60+59…etc, which comes out to 2080, which was not the middle value :[

@gameraddict, I can’t believe they tested on arithmetic sequences like that. I completely forgot the n(n+1)/2 formula. I guessed one of the #s in the 2000s, probably didn’t get it right though.
