October ACT Math Discussion

was the answer E phillies?

So did the answer start with -8. Which was the first choice?

phillies, can you explain #59 to me?

someone tell me the correct answer choice to 59! i put E

Ok…this is going off my memory…which might not be 100 percent correct…the question gave you the value -(2x^2y^3/z)^3… Then it asked you what value multiplied to that value gives you -1…a value times its reciprocal equals one…so flip numerator and denominator…then you had had to apply the power of 3 to everything…so you multiplied the 2 three times and multiplied the 3 power to all the other powers…finally you had to make the value positive so it equaled -1…again, my memory may have been destroyed after that test

I don’t remember what letter it was…I know it wasn’t the first few options

What would you estimate a -7/-8 to be for Math?

57 - 60 36
55 - 56 35
53 - 54 34
51 - 52 33

does that sound about right?

@JD1327 for -7/-8… im thinking 32 or 33

was one of the answers 1/r?

We never answered the reciprocal question!

what did r have to equal to make the figure a square?

Treyinator- 1

1/r? or another answer?

Should be 1/r. Tan = Opp/Adj

After reading these posts, I’m really losing faith in a solid math score. My highest was a 28 in Math, and all I’m asking for is higher than a 28 at this point.

Does anyone remember the one about the inverse cosine of negative one half?

Was there an option for two answers?? I put 2pi/3

imnotanoob, same here.

It came out to be 120 degrees which is 2pi/3, I had that too.

Does anyone remember the answers for the three questions involving the graph with r? I guessed on all three at the end. I put A, B, and A.
