**October ACT Thread**

Another question of mine -

What was the answer to the English one...

and, of course, water? That is what I put. I am not sure if that is right. I sort of pondered there for a minute wondering what the hell to put.

I get 6 on the bus question and im almost positive its right (I got a 36 on the last math, not that that means much considering I got 2 wrong this time)

Oh crap you got 6? Damn I think I put 5, oh well whatever

On my calc i got like 4.999996 on that ... so I rounded it up to 5.

I got 6 on the bus problem and I also got "and, of course, water" or whatever that was. I just know I had the two commas there...I was also hesitant with that question.

Overall, I thought..

English: Slightly harder than normal but still easy and straight-forward. Hopefully got at least 34.
Math- Easier for me than usual. I'm praying I broke 30 on it this time...
Reading- Definitely harder than usual, but I think I did pretty well. Hopefully 34+
Science- OMG. I filled in random answers for like 13 problems!! O_o I'll be lucky if I break 21. Was it just me, or did science seem A LOT harder than the practice tests? On recent practice tests, the lowest I got in science was a 27, and I even got one 32, and on the real thing I don't even think I got a 25.... prays for easy curve

Oh, and what about the one with the inventions. Was it velcro or auto paint. I had to rush those questions.

I put velcro...

Most of the test seemed reasonable except for science. That section was so difficult. I am hoping for a good curve!

Oh, and what about the one with the inventions. Was it velcro or auto paint. I had to rush those questions.

It was velcro

yea, thats wat i got, nickdechile

yea, thats wat i got, nickdechile

It seems like the bus problem is giving people a lot of issues. I see 5 and 6. It is going to bother me forever now.

i put 6 (10chaz)

i put 6 (10chaz)

I got 5 on the bus problem and so did a friend of mine, and I can't see how it's wrong. But I don't remember the details of the question, so I can't rework it to make sure.

I had no clue on that one. IIRC, the passage never mentioned the chronological order of the inventions, nor did the term "auto paint" appear in the passage (I had to assume it referred to the auto-cleaning paint.)

I put auto-paint since it came first in the passage. Can anyone explain how to do that question correctly?

No idea. I just figured since auto paint was never mentioned that velcro was the next best one.

Was the one question about the area or circumfrence (I forget) 6pi? I suck at math. Haha.

yea!! i did the same as "nickdechile" on that one problem

The radius squared was the 36 on the right-hand side of the equation. The formula for area is Pir^2, and since r^2 = 36, A = 36Pi.

I got 6 for the bus problem.

Are you sure those of you who got 5 didn't average the kids out so that each bus had an even number? 'Cause you were supposed to keep them separate by class.
