October SAT Curve

couldn't it also be that the first time you guys took the SAT you weren't as prepared as you were this time? thus all the "that was so much easier" remarks

^That may be the case. My first SAT (June 2008) I took the SAT cold and had insomnia the night of the SAT. This recent SAT I slept for an hour (I think) but I had prepped for it and found it pretty easy.

Please no snide remarks about my insomnia :"(. I'm a crazy person.

You guys could learn a thing or two from bicycle. This test was obviously easier if you had done some type preparation. Which i 'm sure almost all of us had. I say almost because there are 2400 scorers that probably don't need any prep(Ivychan), and i' m sure even she gets nervous and messes around with BB practice tests.

A comment I would like to make: The curve is mainly based upon the performance of the
average test taker. We can't predict the curve based on the performances of the top 1% of test-takers...as long as the questions fooled the average tester, the curve will be normal.

Uhh..Ivychan got her 2400 on her second sitting and she prepped extensively O.o....
Get your facts straight please.

ChoklitRain i like that response XD that means -1 M could be 780 =PP i'd be really mad if its 770, it's possible though -.- 1 wrong 30 points, omg~

Shiomi .

"I say almost because there are 2400 scorers that probably don't need any prep(Ivychan), and i' m sure even she gets nervous and messes around with BB practice tests"

I did not say she didnt prep. I said she probably doesnt need any, but still prepped anyway. Read carefully.

March SAT Math was -1 =770.

I thought the Oct. Math was slightly harder than the March one. So it's probably going to be -1 = 780.

let's hope it's 790 and it to be 770, that way it should round to 780 :D

The curve has been steadily decreasing for math
January: -1 = 790
March+May: -1 = 770
June: ??
Considering how relatively easy it was, I'm fairly certain it'll be 770.

steadily decreasing? it was 780 last october

wow...@CCPWNZ
"The curve has been steadily decreasing for math"
Are you a tard? lol...the curve varies from month to month. In June -2 was a 770, so a -1 was probably a 790 or so.

how hard is the November SAT reputed to be?

For May, I got 1 wrong and I got a 780, not a 770

Didn't shiomi say there hasn't been a -1 770 for a long time?

A raw math score of -1 scaling to 770 is very unusual. Not that it is relevant, but that scaling hasn't happened before in October. For a "typical easy" test, -1 = 780.
