October SAT Curves?

complicated beyond calculus geometry if u ask me

that one wasnt

damn. life sure does suck. when do we know which one was experimental?

it was basic 9th grade geometry. that is if we are talking about the same question. it had the X and the Y in the triangle right?

it was like 3 different triangles? i think...

which section was experimental for u? I know my math was experimental, since i had 4 ssections instead of 3

i don't remember... i was just traumatized at having those CR sections in a row. it was horrible. and i think it was 3 triangles, can't really remember. what was the question asking for... the degrees?

it was like what is the degree of y in terms of x or something.

hm.. hopefully they tell us soon which one was experimental or else i will deteriorate into nothingness.

I read on here that a question about the are of a brick and rearranging it or something was experimental..

was it a math question? I had the math experimental, there was definitely not a brick question

i don't remember a brick question,

I didn't have the math experimental, I just read that somewhere yesterday, I guess it was wrong, haha :-)

I found the Math section astonishingly easy in comparision with the Math practice in the Blue Book. So I suppose there would be plenty of ppl who would get full scores. So yeah, I think I agreed with Aquamarine, the math curve should sth like:

-0 800
-1 780 (NOT 790)
-2 760
-3 740
-4 720
-5 710
-6 700

I found the Writing section way easy as well, so I guess the writing curve would be less "lenient" than it normally is.

-6 700? no way.

shhh shhh thats a good thing... let's keep dreaming

predictions for a -10 on the Math?

Isn't writing usually extremely lenient? I believe it is usually the lowest avg national score. (Somewhere around a 497 for 2006).

writing...? reading maybe

Rawr, this thread is scaring me...

I expected the math curve to be brutal but just looking at the writing curve makes me wince...

There's always the ACT though.

OK WAIT WAIT...... SOMEONE POSTED OCTOBER 2006 and 2007 curve. Even though WE all thought the math was easy, remember, the national average is like a 500. So let's not take anything away from curves yet.

I think in another thread, the last 2 october tests -1 in math was 800
-3 was 800 in reading
-5 with a 12 essay is 800 on writing

i have no idea about the validity of these statements, im guessing they are true. Let's just be grateful CC is only filled with so many students, and that probaly 2000 kids didn't know how to get 13.5 for the last gridin question :-p

In all honesty, i've heard october is the best time to take it. It's usually seniors who need to take it that takes it, and the brightest seniors have taken it already in their junior years. One can just hope...

dang, i may get an 800 and 780 in writing and math, respectively. i am being overly optimistic, however...

****, i hope those curves are right!
