Off wait list = binding?

let’s say, I send money to one school, then my name is off from the wait list from my top choice school.

  1. then i won’t get my money back from the one school i sent money in if i choose to attend the top choice school.
my question is, then do I must go to the top choice school???
after getting off from the wait list, am I binded to that school?
if not, then wat will the college do if all the people got off the wait list do not attend their schools?
    thx

Just because you choose to remain on the wait list does not mean you are obligated in any way to attend that school if they later tell you that you are accepted. You will lose the deposit from the first school if you then go to another. However, staying on the wait list is just keeping your options open. If they say, "Yes, we want you," then is when you will have to make a final decision. If they don't get enough people from the wait list, they will just have a smaller class that year.

Unless you go on Carnegie Mellon's "priority" waiting list.

that would be sooo ****ty if it was binding haha...

up up... hilary
Susantm , that answers my question!
Thx a lot... now got to open my doors!!!
