<p>No, it isn't binding. You will only have a few days to reply to an offer with your deposit and if you are on more than one waitlist, they will probably not come at the same time. If you get an offer and are still waiting for a prefered school, but want to hold this spot, you will have to send the deposit and give up the money if you get a "better" offer later on.</p>
<p>Actually I did read on a thread, that some waitlists are binding.....so do check your card carefully. It may have been called a "priority waitlist", and I believe that it was for carnegie mellon, (but not sure).</p>
