Just for anyone's benefit who would like to know - my son received an offer of appointment Saturday. The letter with the black folder was dated 1/31/06.
He is a senior in high school with no LOA, nomination received in December, but triple qualified since Oct....so it must be time for WP admin to start making decisions on the rest of us. Good luck to everyone...and thanks to all the people who post here with good questions/advice..it really helped us through.

by the way...the gray card was returned in the mail right away... minutes after we received the offer....very exciting...he is definatedly accepting the offer.

Congratulations!

did he have to send in his 7th semester grades already? if so, how long ago had he sent them in.. thanks and congratulations

brownjklm,

Congratulations!!! Will he be going on the candidate visit?

That's really wonderful! Congratulations!

7 semester ended Jan 20 and the counselor mailed the gray 7th semester card on Jan 24 and WP posted it to his site Feb 2. (we did call adm to make sure they knew it was coming) but the letter from the super was dated 1/31/06.

Yes - we are planning a trip over spring break - end of March.

Thank you everyone for your well wishes - I will pass them on to my son.

Tell your son congrats, brownjklm. I'll look forward to trudging along beside him this summer.

Thanks! He is already practicing for "trudging":)
