Summer Activities: job
Essays: I would give my common app essay was a 9/10. I’m very proud of it. Hopefully other colleges feel the same way about it that I do haha. Supplement maybe a 6/10. It wasn’t that beautifully written but I thought it gave cohesive information and demonstrated fit. But I was rejected, so it probably wasn’t that good haha.

Strengths: ACTs are above average I guess, which makes them good considering this was for Cornell. I personally think my ECs and essays were great.
What you tried to focus on in your application - any hooks you tried to make for yourself: I tried to demonstrate fit with the program I applied to. But I did not try to make any “hooks” as this question asks.
Weaknesses: GPA. It’s not awful, but it’s probably low for Cornell.
Why you think you were accepted/deferred/rejected: Probably my GPA. There’s really nothing interesting for me to say. I’m just posting this because I read a lot of results threads before applying so it’s only right for me to contribute so others get that same chance.
Where else were you accepted/deferred/rejected: Haven’t heard back from anywhere else yet. I’m sure I’ll be accepted somewhere I like though!
Your “Big Red” factor - the most unique thing in your application: This was a silly question when I read it on last year’s results thread. And it still is. Especially to end the entire post… Especially for those of us rejected… haha anyways, good luck to all future applicants. And congratulations to all those accepted.
