I can empathize with your obsession :-)

But seriously, I doubt that ANYONE has heard from Yale yet. It sounds to me like they sent all their decisions out at the same time. Take it from someone who spent all of last summer sending out mass mailings: that can take a lot of time.

But letters are on their way! Nothing else we can do at this point except enjoy the fact that it's summer!

just called today. they said they are sending out the decisions today. i imagine we'll start getting them on friday.

I GOT IN!!!!
Just got the email!!! Can't believe it!

i guess they're not doing the email thing this year....

whattt? they sent an email? guess the ones who didn't didn't get in. are you an int'l?

"Your admission to Yale as a Transfer student for the fall term 2008 is assured. Our letters went in the mail today and you should receive yours in the next few days. The letter and enclosures should be self-explanatory, but if you have any questions please contact me"

And no, I'm not international.

Congratulations man. Were there other recipients in the e-mail?

guess i didn't get in then.

The subject line of the email had my name and my school. I think that means they're sending them out individually to every accepted applicant. There's still time!

I hope so. :'( i'm pretty depressed about it

weird. i just called the transfer office and asked if applicants wil receive emails and she said no, they mailed out letters today.

i think that it means rejections = through the mail and emails = acceptances

Yup, that's pretty much what I think, icebreaker. they answer the inquiries about the procedures of the majority of applicants; in these case the rejections.

sigh...Dammit.

i know i shouldn't have been expecting anything but im still really disappointed

They accepted 25 out of 800 applicants.

I was not one of them.

Source: Phone call.

theres still hope kids!

undisclosed: did all accepted applicants receive an email already?

speakout, I'm really happy for you!!! congratulations--you deserve it! claps

I didn't receive an email, and I'm quite disappointed too, but I'm trying to look at the bright side--at least I get to go to Oxford next year, and stay in Europe :)
