Sigh it’s difficult to detect sarcasm on a board. I’m sorry. We’re all anxious. I admittedly couldn’t tell if that was a joke or just vitriol.

It’s okay… though I didn’t think my post was all that vitriolic. I do find it funny you thought I wasn’t interested in substantively participating in the thread I started :)

I GOT IN!!! I GOT IN!!!.. hahaha I bet all your hearts skipped a beat… I’m kidding. I didn’t get anything yet. What time do they come out - around 9? And how many people are being accepted?

y did you have to do that? its really not funny…

It’s better to laugh when you get the rejection letter than it is to sulk. I’m just trying to lighten up the mood! :)

@CollegeFreshman Well you made me smile. :)

… Really though. Where’s the email.

Lol yzll are crazy omg my phone is beeping …wait thats just the moving van …sigh …please more jokes I cant do this …Im crazy outta my mind …and tomorrow im gonna do the same thing for brown …arghhhh

Yup I keep getting spam emails and each time I see Inbox (1) I have a genuine heart attack. And yes, tomorrow will be Brown. This is the life(?)

A local United Way office realized that the organization had never received a donation from the town’s most successful lawyer. The person in charge of contributions called him to persuade him to contribute.

“Our research shows that out of a yearly income of at least $500,000, you give not a penny to charity. Wouldn’t you like to give back to the community in some way?”

The lawyer mulled this over for a moment and replied, “First, did your research also show that my mother is dying after a long illness, and has medical bills that are several times her annual income?”

Embarrassed, the United Way rep mumbled, “Um … no.”

The lawyer interrupts, “or that my brother, a disabled veteran, is blind and confined to a wheelchair?”

The stricken United Way rep began to stammer out an apology, but was interrupted again.

“or that my sister’s husband died in a traffic accident,” the lawyer’s voice rising in indignation, “leaving her penniless with three children?!”

The humiliated United Way rep, completely beaten, said simply, “I had no idea…”

On a roll, the lawyer cut him off once again, “So if I don’t give any money to them, why should I give any to you?”

Has anybody called Y admissions?
…I mean if anyone was brazen enough to do that I’d love to know what’s happening.

@CollegeFreshman Thank you, that was a much needed belly laugh.

I hate to be the resident negative nancy, but there is a very simple (albeit very upsetting) explanation of “what’s happening.”

Acceptances went out at 9, just like they were supposed to.

I have a feeling that this was just not our year. =(

That could definitely be. Do you know for sure that people got accepted at 9 this year?
Odds are, someone on this board would’ve gotten accepted, but I could be wrong!

I know thats true I mean we all could not have not gotten in!

Or, the better explanation, because it is the correct one, is the following:

They moved the release date for decisions to tomorrow.

Just called admissions, and that’s what they told me.

How does that account for yesterday’s acceptees?

It doesn’t. But the full email send-out or whatnot will be tomorrow. Unless they move it again.

I find it weird that between 3:45 PM yesterday (when I last spoke to them to confirm the release time) and this morning they changed the release time…

@OutHere Nooooooo way. How cruel! Ah well, going back to bed.
Thanks for getting us some actual info. :)

^outhere are you serious? decisions are coming out tomorrow??!!
