Official 2014-2015 Coca Cola Scholarship Thread

I applied and have not heard anything yet. Fairly sure I did not delete any email, and it wouldn’t have landed in my spam (I turned filtering off for this reason). Does anyone know if semifinalist/rejection emails are still being sent, or did I just delete it accidentally?

@Arandomgeek “call us at 800-306-2653”. emails were all sent on the 14th, but you can call them and check if you like.

@planner03‌
Thanks so much! I called and they resent the email. I didn’t advance :frowning: but I can live with knowing my chances of advancing were far worse than getting into my top colleges :)

Hello, I have been selected as a semifinalist and I was wondering if it would be a good idea to forward the email I received notifying me of my selection to the admissions department at my ED school, Penn. I notice that’s what @fahrenheit1064‌ did last year, but are there any down sides to doing so. Also, did you get into your D school @fahrenheit1064‌? Thanks for the help guys

I don’t know @1600mPenn…would you have put the information on you application if you had known earlier? Where would you have put it?

deleted

@planner03‌ No, I probably would not have. Good point!

@1600mPenn, I did email my early decision school, which was also penn (wharton), 2 days after I got notification. I just forwarded them the coca-cola email with a small blurb. It wouldn’t hurt your application because you are really updating your application, and it shows the school that you still have them on your mind. I didn’t get into penn in the end sadly. :frowning: the truth is: many other semifinalists are probably applying to the top schools you are applying to, and the admissions office will get notification from those people too. so, in the end, it’s not only you against the other really impressive applicants, but it’s also you against the other really impressive semifinalists applying to the same school(s) as you

@fahrenheit1064‌ sorry to hear it didn’t end well. Okay, I see your point. Thanks for all your help.

Semifinalist From Texas :)

We didn’t receive the email with the information the semi-finalists need to do, but my son received the letter. Can someone post what the requirements are so he can get started? He’s going to call them tomorrow but we are dying to see what to do next!!!

So my links to the forms on the semifinalist don’t work! ): I’ve been emailing and calling for the past two weeks but I’ve gotten no email reply and I’ve consistently been put on hold for excessive periods of time…no one has helped me! ): Can anyone forward their semifinalist email to me so I can start working on my application and get all my recommendations??? I would be eternally grateful!!!

My email is serilee9@ gmail.com

Please and thank you !!

Hey seriouslee, I had a similar problem, but I think it was because of Thanksgiving break. I called them this morning and things ran much quicker. Wish you the best of luck!
Also, what kinds of things are they looking for in the other courses section?

I was wondering if anyone knows how much they take into consideration student’s SAT scores? I have straight A’s and all the activities one could think of but my SAT was somewhat average. Any ideas?

Ya I was wondering that about SAT scores too… How complete are your questionnaire’s? Are you filling in all the lines or is it ok if we leave some blank?

Regional Finalist!!!

I am a regional finalist too!

Regional Finalist from PA

Does anyone know all the different regions and how many people they pick from each?

@liveyourlife26 I have not found any information on the regions or specific acceptance numbers. However, you can receive a rough idea of how many people become scholars from each state by comparing the Regional Finalist and Scholars lists for 2014.
