As per the email we received, I believe there will be a total of 150 Finalists who will receive an email in the next few days informing them of their status.

Of these finalists, ten students will be picked after interviews are conducted for an additional $10,000. All the finalists will receive the default $20,000.

At least that is how I have understood the information presented to us thus far.

Unfortunately, I did not make the cut. I read the posts on this thread often and was relieved to know others had the same issues I did with the application. Waiting for the notification was nerve-wracking… But, like mich5225 said, there must be the losers. I will just try to pick myself up from this and see what other opportunities I can find coming from a nearly opportunity-less community. I can still achieve greatness… Maybe Coca-Cola was not able to see that potential in me, haha. I can still prove them wrong. Congrats to all of those who are finalists and good luck with your interviews! :)

I also posted this just now on the other thread but here is what I found out:

My counselor called Coca-Cola Scholars. Here is how it works this year–250 FINALISTS chosen now. That is now DIFFERENT from SCHOLARS. They get $1000. From the 250, all have a regional interview. From that interview, 150 are chosen as SCHOLARS who go to Atlanta and get the $20,000 scholarships and vie for an additional $10,000 that 10 SCHOLARS will get.

I’m in a tricky situation… I forgot the Gmail account for the application that got semifinalist. So I know no way of finding out. Anyone know if they send letter to everyone or just finalists??

Didn’t make it. Oh well, still many other scholarships out there I’ve applied for with many more still to come. I guess they had no idea what DeMolay was

@Hcgmom
did she have the “rejected then accepted” problem for the semifinalist notification time? If she did, then you might have to check the email account for the accepted one for Finalist notification.
