Sounds like a good sign you guys who interviewed! It’s gonna be hard to wait another couple of weeks for this

hey everyone! i also applied several months ago as a rising sophomore to the college and received an interview which i did just last week! georgetown is by far my top choice. i originally applied as a freshman and got rejected, which was heartbreaking since georgetown has been my dream school ever since i attended their summer law program for high school students the summer before my senior year. i only applied here and my state school back home, which i got into, specifically the honors program of the college of literature, science, and the arts at the university of michigan, but no place is better for me than georgetown.

i’m so glad i found this thread btw, i had been stalking the 2013 transfer thread for AGES looking for this one lolz

Well. I’m another anxious GU hopeful. Nice to meet you guys.

Basic stats.
I applied to MSB
Awful HS GPA.
3.0 CC GPA
3.5 GPA in one semester at George Washington University (400 level courses)
3.6 in two semesters at American University
6 years of job experience.
3 internships with government organizations
I’ve already had my alumni interview
I’m a licensed native american and I feel like I nailed my essays.

I’m a littler older than most applicants due to working full time and taking a few years off school. So I don’t know what to expect from GU admissions. I was just accepted to American University as a transfer and I have applications pending with George Washington and University of Maryland as well.

My interview was about 20 minutes. It was at the law firm my interviewer worked for and I got asked… 3 questions? I’m trying not to sweat it since my interviewer was really nice.
I got an email last week during spring break that I was missing my high school transcript so I just sent out another copy. Good luck to everyone!

did any internationals have interviews?

Have any of you inquired about an early read? I have to let my employers on my current campus know if I’ll be returning soon and I’m a little concerned about how late the notification is.

Did anyone else here apply to Georgetown College?

@cityobsessed I did! Applied to Georgetown College as a French major. Hope to hear back soon.

Hello, everybody. I am applying to Georgetown College as an Econ major from England.
By the way, even though I am an international student, I did have an interview in the beginning of April.

@thegovernator23 Online or in England?

Well damn. Now GTown is telling me that I’m missing the dean report and teacher recommendation. Ugh.

I had my interview in London.

Georgetown does not release admin decisions till the first week of June. Also this semester Georgetown Colleges Admissions rate will be ~15%.

@johngalan94 what is the source of your information?

@wellletshope I contacted admissions office for an early read as I was accepted to one of the universities I applied to.

So I was accepted into one of the universities I applied to, and also have the opportunity for a great job that I could take if I stay at my current school (aka if I don’t get into Georgetown, most likely)- I’m trying to decide whether to request an early read. @johngalan94 how did that work for you? Do you know when you’ll be notified?

@cityobsessed I did too, as an English major. We’ll see how all that pans out for Georgetown College kids; apparently it’s not supposed to be as competitive as it is for MSB or SFS. That said, I applied for Georgetown College’s most popular major…

@johngalan94 Not until the first week of June? I may have to call BS on that, their website says that all admissions decisions will be rendered by the 1st, with the 15th being the reply date.

@brigitr It wouldn’t hurt to try. I applied to the College and actually had to contact the Economics program and they said they would not be doing any early reads. But again it wouldnt hurt to try.

@archibaldtuttle The website literally says June 1st for transfer admissions lmao and the 15 is reply…
