I think my MC deserved a 5, but the FRQs are definitely going to bring that score down. I did a bunch of the problems incorrectly.

PLEASE, GODS OF AP CALCULUS, HAVE MERCY ON MY SOUL. I WAS NERVOUS AND IT WAS COLD IN OUR TESTING ROOM.

Well it’s comforting knowing that lots of people had difficulty with question five and six of free response. Lol at the end of the exam I yelled “There was no frkn ‘t’ (reffering to number 5)” Well i think it’s safe to assume that the curve will be generous considering the lots of contempt towards the FRQs

MC was easy…but a bit harder than previous years. I think I got two wrong; one because the notation confused me (inscribed rectangles one) and the other because I was unsure if I did it correctly.
Th FRQ were all pretty tough. #5 was a killer, and I don’t think I scored more than 5 or 6 points from it. The others I think I did 7 or 8 points each, though I’m iffy about solids of revolution one. Pretty confident I got 5, but it was much harder than practice ones. All my friends thought it was ahrder than old tests we’d done. On the same level as a Barrons test, imo.

I’m with all of you. I definitely had a 5 up until FRQ #4-6. They totally destroyed me. Utterly and completely. #5 was particularly difficult.

Agreed, same level as barrons

Quite a few problem types were new to me. A few were types I’d never seen, though I could figure it out eventually. The temperature one and #5 might be some of the hardest integral problems I’ve done. My textbook didn’t have many hardass integration prblems

I think I did really well on MC. But the FRQs Effed me. 5 and 6 were indeed hard…but #2 of A kind of screwed me. I knew how to do it, but I think I confused on myself what certain things meant. I didn’t do part D of that… Even though I could have, easily.

The first one from section B was really easy, should have gotten 9/9. (maybe 8/9 if I goofed).
The FRQ was too much for my class. The entire class left the library like 15-20min early. No joke. I was the only one left in the testing room when time was called.
Funny thing is, third hour was just about to end, and our 3A class was Calculus. So when everyone walked in the teacher was instantly ****ed.

He was happy to see me, though. I feel as though I had a 5 based on my MC score…so maybe the FRQ curve will be nice enough to keep me there.

Also, one multiple choice question involving rates…HATED IT. I couldn’t get it, but I think I somehow got the right answer without knowing what I was doing.

Let us hope that the rest of the AB classes were poorly taught.

Not bad; not easy, but not particularly difficult either. I think I’ll get a 5.

Ok somethings wrong, I thought #5 was the second easiest frq question

rzee is a spy. Trying to get us to really talk about the questions so our tests are invalidated.

Never mind, won’t discuss for a few days.

oops, totally forgot about it :S maa bad

I don’t quite understand why everyone had trouble with the last two. They were just spin-offs of the examples that are used to introduce the topics…

While it was definitely one of the hardest FRQs I’ve seen, it’s on par with 2007 form B.

the noncalculator mc slayed me, guessed on 6-7 of those when i’d literally gotten maybe 2 wrong total on every single practice test non calc mc i’ve taken. RIDICULOUSLY hard for me for some reason, the rest was mad easy. beasted every part of the frq even though the last part of the last question was evil of collegeboard, really ugly answer.

^Glad to see someone else got an ugly answer on part c of the last frq. That was the average value problem, right?

yea not sure how much we can discuss but it involved doing some things you couldnt do without a calculator

edit: by do i mean simplify lol

^Yup, I won’t go into details but I remember getting an answer that involved a couple of weird fractions.

True dat^.
After the end of the test I was talking to a friend and we were talking about how some of the answers were rather arithmetic intensive-in the non-calc portion of the FRQ.

College board was very cruel with f-r this year I think. When I practiced problems from last year, I could always do something in each problem. This year, however, there were several problems I really had no clue what to do. It wasn’t a typical exam.

MC wasn’t as bad (thankfully).

Through this whole year in calculus I’ve gotten lots of practice with fractions. A lot more than I ever got in any math class. Every other integral done by hand requires massive amounts of brackets and parentheses.
Also, I <333 my Ti-89. I feel like its smarter than me.
