I had some trouble understanding parts of #5, but I think I managed… Did some random stuff that hopefully worked.

I have a question…does anyone know when the answers to the free response will be posted online at collegeboard, you know, like how the old questions ans answers are? Is it right after the 2 days or something or a long time later…?

yea the FRQs will be posted on college board 48 hours later

FRQ’s seemed relatively easy, I just made a lot of dumb mistakes that prevented me from truly owning them. MC seemed like a joke compared to our final’s MC which I still did relatively well on.

@bluewind

thank you sooo much! :)

That was horrid, absolutely horrid. I felt like breaking down and sobbing in the middle of the exam, LOL.

It kills me because I worked my tail off and did well on my Calculus course in general, I thought I was grasping the concepts. I worked through the Princeton Prep book and got at least 90-95% of the problems on the “practice problem sets” correct, so I felt semi-confident going in. But oh man, I just guessed on probably at least 10-15 of the MCs, and when it got to the FRQs I couldn’t do anything but stare at the page in agony. I’ll be surprised if I got any points over the entire 6 questions. Even with the scoring curve I know I won’t get a 3, so the entire purpose of me taking this course (college credit) is thrown down the drain. Complete waste of life, I’m devastated.

I felt good except non simplified answers in the non Calc few section.

That was hard! The last couple frq’s were pretty challenging especially 5. Very mad

Some of the students talked to number five to some BC students and they think that number 5 was a BC topic. Our Calculus teacher also agrees, number five was extremely hard!

My Calc AB class had an entire chapter devoted to the math that was involved in that question…

We learned exactly how to do problems like #5 in my class. I’m pretty sure it’s not a BC topic.

What TIME tomoro will everybody be posting their answers? The exam started at 8 and ended at 12. Are we going 48 hrs after the start time or end time?

Let’s be safe and say 12:00 PM tomorrow.

so nervous for the free response to come out :S
i feel like it’s going to be either somewhat reassuring or just plain terrible. hope i scraped points in random places.

How was number 5 hard? I self-studied ALL of calculus in one week during spring break, and I figured out how to do it. I thought that the FRQ in general were easy…

@Bioboy12 Well, maybe it wasn’t “hard”
It is just after almost 3 hours of testing, and the time restraints, many people feel test anxiety and really can’t think at their best or clearest. Since it was very intense for the mind up that point, I think by the free response, people (including me) were very frazzled/stress mess and probably only worrying about the time limit and filling everything in…at that point you really can’t think straight or relaxed :(

@Bioboy… you’re lucky.

@everyone else- I know the actual frq QUESTIONS are going up tomorrow on CB, and they already have for certain exams, but when do sample solutions go up?

@EmPaige21 i had assumed the solutions would go up at the same time ? idk…

Well APES was monday, and the questions are posted, however the solutions are not.
I hope they go up, though, it would probably make a lot of us feel better.
