Thoughts on my DBQ groups?
- Homogenization of Culture
- Immigration
- Impact of Language
- Impact of "French Heritage" (used the food and the sport docs)
Thoughts on my DBQ groups?
I didn’t know what they mean on culture, so I just focused on overall impacts (see above) … also, did they mention anything about double spacing? I accidentally double spaced all my essays … force of habit from class
does anyone know the approximate score curve out of 180 last year for a 5?
because I thought the MC was easy but I know i made a huge glaring error on one of my frqs
apparently I’m the only one on twitter who knew what the answer to Question 1 was lol
I don’t think they have a problem with double spacing. But my essays combined for 10 pages total, so idk how u fit everything into the booklet
for the DBQ:
My DBQ grouping:
Paragraph 1: cultural aspects. Had subgroups of homogenization of culture (think I used docs 1, 3 and 8), other cultural pieces (the one about food and the one about welcoming political delinquents) and the language docs.
Paragraph 2: the national identity part. Insert all immigrant docs (besides 8, which I used as listed above) here
Yeah, I thank US History for the first question
I took it and I had an insanely difficult time trying to group the DBQ. Did anyone group it by like newspaper articles, interviews, newspaper interviews, and other? I did and I feel like it’s wrong
In all honesty, I struggled with grouping my DBQ’s. Mine were:
The French people saw the immigrants as detriments to their culture and identity
The need for a cultural revival/need to find their identity
How the immigrants just wanted to learn to adapt to the French culture and join the French image.
I got question one right for sure. There is actually a running joke about it in my class XD
wow. that’s also pretty much how i did my groupings.
Thoughts on these groupings?
Dang all these grouping are making me feel nervous… did any one group them into time periods, and explain how popular opinion changed over time??
And for POV I used the mother, the mayor because he’s the mayor of a town on the meditteranean, and the farmer, because an import of other cultures food would probably hurt his business…
@CGlynn I think you’ll be fine.
@CGlynn Thats basically what I did! I think we did it right!
I’m pretty nervous after looking at those groups. I did: 1) For globalization 2) Against globalization 3) Those who felt it was inevitable (used teacher, farmer, and dictionary guy). I explained each document in the third group to show how it fit into the group.
Do you think this would work? It doesn’t seem like anyone else went this approach
The groupings don’t have to be complex and intricate for you to get the points. I just did immigrants, people of French descent who supported change in identity, people of French descent who did not support this change in identity.
@Falconsroach7 Don’t you need at least three documents per group?
No, just two
