GOOD LUCK EVERYONE… I am SO NERVOUS!!

Is someone willing to look at my APUSH DBQ for me? Give me tips, an approx grade, etc? Please!

Up to 1980 for DBQ And FRQ’s with a few MC post-1980

So I took the AP US 2013 Exam for my class final and I was able to pull a 63/80.
However, I feel a little nervous about tomorrow. I really don’t want the DBQ to be about the Gilded Age or the Great Depression considering that those eras are so difficult for me to understand.

Good luck to everyone! I feel confident that I’ll get a 5, but I can only hope. Meanwhile, I’ll just get back to reading REA and parts of AMSCO.

Yo… if anyone have any questions, I’m your guy. I’m a fanatic of US History and I’m taking the exam tomorrow as well.

John Tyler got Texas through Congress via Joint Resolution on March 1, 1845–4 days before Polk’s inauguration. Polk campaigned in 1844 on annexation of Texas. Clay didn’t come out in favor of Texas initially, Clay readjusted his position in the so called “Alabama letters” in which he would support annexation if it could be accomplished with the common consent of the Union and without war. He was attempting to satisfy the pro-annexation, pro-slavery electorate in the South without losing his northern supporters. This so called flip-flop cost him support in New York and a strong showing by James Birney of the Liberty Party.

Do any of you all know where to find the released 2006 and 2001 multiple choice sections online?

Has your teacher told you guys anything about underlining your thesis?

Does anyone want my advice for the essays? I’ve gotten up to an 8 but usually average 6’s. I think my teacher is just very picky but I’d like to help anyone out.

Yes, don’t underline your thesis… they don’t like it. What your implying is the reader is too stupid to find your thesis. They’re experienced APUSH teachers and college profs. They can find your thesis without underlining.

@craniumapush Really? My teacher wants us to underline our thesises so we can reference it easier in the middle of our essay and so we show the reader that we know what our thesis is .

Good luck everyone! At this point, I’m studying by reading apush tweets on Twitter…it’s actually quite entertaining.

@EveningSwanI’m telling you what AP readers have told me

Yeah, like stated above, don’t underline your thesis. And why would your thesis be in the middle of your eesay? The thesis is usually the last sentence of the introduction.

69/80 on 2013 practice mc… I’m just really scared for the dbq and frqs… How hard is it to get a 5-6 since I just want to get a 5 and I’m decent at mc so getting a 7-9 on the essays are slightly overkill?

Do the essays have to be written in pen or pencil?

Pen. Do NOT write in pencil. Blue or black ink.
