i will orgasm if i get a 2380 back.

Lmbaooooooooooo!!!!

Im praying that the passages are easy and interesting on Saturday and no tricky math questions..

One of my friends in the January SAT took 3 of the sections before when she was preparing...they must have reused very old SAT's or something.. she got a 2270.

i hope we all luck out w/ easy writing questions, math questions, and cr!

i mean ive been prepping for this since pre-summer 2005. All three sections are at least 750, with math being a perfect 800 :)))

I don't believe it's possible to get a 2300 'easily' unless you're an absolute genious. 2300 allows little to no room for error so it means no careless mistakes and a knowledge sufficient enough to answer almost every question.

I say a thread about gum earlier and had a question on it.

When you take the test do you guys actually chew the gum. Usually when I am busy doing something, I dont chew the gum, I just keep it in my mouth and my chew it when I turn the page or do something where I loose concentration.

well, that's just my own view. I'm confident in my own studies and excellent preparation, as well as the time and energy, not to mention the money and effort, spent on being ready for this exam. Therefore, I believe a 2300 for myself is easy. My math sections are always 800s, and my crit reading is always 750+. My grammar section is always perfect, and the essay is really easy for me (I'm a great writer and I've taken both AP English Lang/Lit, so I have that stylistic taste and whatnot).

Just saying, that's my own personal view, a 2300 is easily attainable.

I'm going to assume that 'in your own personal view' you mean for yourself. If you are scoring 750 plus CR, 800 math, and perfect on the writing you've obviously done an appreciable amount of preperation and have some innate skills, for which you ought to be commended. For you, if you can easily get a 2300, I don't doubt you and I think that's wonderful, but remember that that's not an easy score to get, even if it's easy for you. Even on the tests where I scored 2300 for mid range I've always kept the work that I had done to attain that score, as well as it's implications, in the back of my head.

yep, no doubt, it's for my own personal self. I've prepped for a LONG time, done personal coaching, tutoring, group tutoring, spent 2 years with vocab, and etc. for all sections. I'm not claiming to be a guru in reading, writing and 'rithmetic, but I've learned how to beat the test.

For any one who doubts they can get a 2300, it is not a difficult score to get. Either you are not preparing enough, it is beyond your scope of learning in mathematics, or you are not using time efficiently. I highly recommend the Blue Book, Barron's 23rd Edition SAT/CD-ROM and Up Your Score: The Underground Guide to the New SAT.

Come on. This was the original thread. It should keep going. :P.

that exam was sooo much easier than ANY practice test i've ever taken, and i was beginning to worry about PR/Kaplan test scores of 2100. Compared to that, this SAT should garner a 2200+ for me. Here I come, Harvard

I think I got 2200+ most likeley.

Don't be to hasty about Harvard, a 1600 (M+V) student has (by statistics) a 40% chance of acceptance, all other things being equalish. :)

Good luck on the test, though. You're right, PR/Kaplan tests are definately harder than the real deal, that's why I use CB.

psykomantium - I know what you mean; the actual test does seem a little easier than what I've been practicing with as well. Other than my essay (on which I did not too well on), I think I got a pretty good score for my first time around, probably 2000.

I'm a little ****ed. I've gotten as high as a 2300 (800 math 780 writing 720 reading) on practice tests but I feel like I got more like a 2150 today. Damnit! Gotta take this test again next year!

To the person who stated that "2300 is impossible," I'll say that I got a 590 on the first practice grammar section I took and I can now get 80 raw grammars and 10-12 essays. I'm into math and science so 800 on math sections isn't too tough, and by studying vocab I've gotten reading up to the 700 range. 2300 is not impossible with hard work. There's a lot of room for error.

THE GUM WORKED!
I saw it on here and tried it and it worked greatly.

If you miss 3 questions on each section, you are unlikely to get a 2300. I didn't say it was impossible, I just said you needed a lot of prep for it. I don't appreciate being misquoted . . .
