Quick question-I was accepted Boston College Early Action, but I never submitted my CSS profile. What should I do? The office is closed until December 30th.

Rejected today. 3.7 GPA, 2030 SAT score, extensive involvement in music and the arts, 4 and 5 on the AP english exams, spent 2 summers at an orphanage in africa, raised $12,000 for that orphanage. Extremely discouraged now.

submit it when you can. It’s not a big deal. BC just has an early deadline so that they have time to provide you with a preliminary award sooner. Otherwise, you might not have a $ number until March.

^ @ewtoast I feel ya I didn’t think I would get flat out rejected and I did…

I also haven’t heard back. Hawaii.

@georgetown14 what were your stats? I know mine aren’t amazing or anything but they’re no worse than plenty of other people who did get in. I really didn’t expect to be completely rejected either. Doesn’t really bode well for my other college letters. 'scuse me while I go cry a little more.

No word yet…California.

Okay so I live in South FL and I received my admissions decision yesterday. I was deferred, so there is still hope!!! I was really expecting a complete denial because my test scores are mediocre compared to what some people have on this forum! I wrote 2 excellent personal essays though, so I think those are what they may have liked? I am also very involved and have a copious amount of community service hours.

Anyone know when presidential scholarship finalists are to be notified? I was accepted early action and I am hoping to be a presidential scholarship finalist

I’m very happy to be accepted!

Good luck to all EAs still hearing back and all who are applying RA. Best of luck to all who are deferred! For anyone still hearing back EA, don’t give up hope. I just heard back yesterday and I live in MN, far closer to BC than Hawaii, California and elsewhere. Hopefully you all will get the big envelope in the mail as a fantastic Christmas present soon.

Have a great Christmas!

Question for people who have been accepted… Have any of you received an invitation as a finalist for their Presidential Merit Scholarship? I emailed my admissions rep after being accepted to CSOM and she said the invitations are sent separately from admission decision packets, and were sent out on Wednesday of last week.

Still have not received a letter…

I was wondering the same thing. I got into the honors program, so hopefully that raises my chances for a scholarship. I’m worried though since I haven’t gotten anything in the mail.
