Well if that’s the case beachedout, they’re going to have alot of lawsuits on their hands! I called Admissions yesterday and woman said they’re sending out acceptances both by e-mail and regular mail.

We live @20 miles from BC and got the e-mail this a.m. but nothing in regular mail today.

Congratulations to everyone who has been accepted! I am just so confused by all this e-mail stuff. I wish someone who was accepted by e-mail could call to confirm, BC seems really messed up. I received a random e-mail from their admissions office about a month ago and called and spoke to numerous people in admissions and none of them could figure out how or why it was sent which is why I was wondering if these e-mails were confirmed. Good luck to everyone who has not heard yet!

I was accepted via regular mail, with the oversized envelope. It is the same letter as the people who got e-mails, with the 1500 applicants for 90 spots and all that junk. Haven’t really looked through the whole packet yet. It was a cool letter because Mary French actually signed it.

Does anyone know how many people were actually accepted? I mean, I did out the “yield” rate from last fall, and so it would mean the acceptance rate is around 13%, but that seems awfully low.

Yeah the numbers were pretty steep this semester. Our class is huge.

@somewhere I did call the financial aid office and left them a message because no one answered the phone. Thanks for the concern tho - hopefully the finaid words so I can go!

Don’t lose hope! From what Admissions told me on the phone the other day, this is the first time they’ve tried the e-mail acceptance route and all indications are that they don’t have it quite worked-out too well :)

Son still hasn’t rec’d actual mailed package – just the e-mail. I bet you’ll get a package today or tomorrow via regular mail!

Meppie, I know my niece got in off BC’s Waitlist last year as a transfer – she found out @first week of June. Not sure if she sent a letter, but I don’t imagine it could do any harm. Wishing you good luck :)

letter is better bcos it must be handled – (an e-mail can just be ignored). You can send by overnight by Fedex or USPS Priority Mail (two days to Boston) for $4.90. Address it to your regional rep at Devlin Hall – the person who signed your WL letter. To ensure receipt, send a copy of the same letter to the mail scanning service in Randolph. (A PO box will only accept USPS mail.)

Good luck.

Thank you so much for all of your useful feedback!! What kinds of things should the letter address, basically why they should strongly reconsider my application and that I really want to attend the school (To let them know I’m not just window shopping)?

What are your feelings about final grades? I haven’t gotten them yet, won’t for a bit. Should I include them WITH the letter or send the two seperately. Thanks a lot!
