A kid who is in my grade has both of his parents on staff at BC so he obviously got in (even though he never took an AP or honors class, had a GPA of a 79 / 100, and didn't break 1200 on his SAT.) Anyways, he said they are activating the WL this week or early next.

i feel the same as you, carnegie. i have a 4.0. i'm in the top 3% of my class. i got a 31 on my ACT and 5's on AP Calc, AP English, and AP US History exams. i have over 300 hours of community service. i'm captain of 2 teams. tons of EC's. haha i showed a ton of interest. i applied early, got deferred, and then got the waitlist. i don't really understand their system. i got into middlebury, but not into boston? i know boston is a great school, but i was just a little surprised. oh well, everything will work out for the best! (that's what i'm hoping, at least.) good luck, though!

Dani, hopefully there is some Tufts Syndrome involved here and the fact that we showed interest will get us in. Good luck you too. Hopefully we will be seeing each other next year in Chestnut Hill =)

I hope you all are right and that they will take off the waitlist. My cc said she spoke with admissions area rep and he said that they will not be going to the list - they are done. This is making me crazy.
*In to Middlebury but not BC - that's just wrong!

I got into Notre Dame, so I will be withdrawing my enrollment from Boston College.

I hope you will get that spot, Carnegie111.

Thanks Man (no pun intended)

Do WL go by region? Man do you mind telling us which region you are in or who your adcom is? thanks

Congrats! I'm sure you'll love ND.

i talked to my regional rep today and they said that they don't' know about the waitlist yet.....

....why are they giving out conflicting info?

Good luck to all on the wl. Carnegie's stats were much better than mine and somehow I still got in. I guess college admissions is quite random, unless CSOM has lower stats than CAS.

Thanks Jets. Hopefully we will all be at BC next yr

i called about four days ago and they said that all decisions (regarding the waitlist) would be finalized by the end of next week.

good luck to all!!

What is taking them so long? Other schools can figure it out so why can't BC? Does any one know what is going on?

Carnegie111, I have no idea who my regional representative is at Boston College.

I live in Kentucky.

I hope that helps.

i have still heard nothing from BC

my friend got in off the waitlist today and i heard of another girl my friend knows got in (both have intense legacy tho)

Mi, do they live in the Boston metro area?

I got in today, i applied to the CSOM but got into the A&S, i live in the metro boston area (not a legacy)

Congrats! Did you get a large or small envelope?

I am also on the waitling list for CSOM. I did not get a letter today and I live in the southern seacost NH region. Perhaps, I did not get off the list.

Good luck to all!!

to those who got in today: did you receive a phone call before your acceptance package came?
