Official Boston University Fall 2013 Transfer Thread

Congrats guys! It must be an amazing feeling!
I also asked for an early review Tuesday because I have other schools pending, so hopefully I’ll hear sometime soon!

that1guyy, sounds a great idea! I hope I can be in this group, even though I’m feeling kind hopeless right now haha

^bosbr100

me too, i would like to join that group if I had a chance to!

seems like most of the active members in this thread has received their decision!
only 1 member got rejected

I want to ask for an early review but i am too scared to ask for it
Somehow I feel like it might hurt my chance :/

Hey,

My name is Ashley and I was accepted into CAS last night. I haven’t received financial aid yet. For those of you who have been accepted, when did you receive a FA package?

@transfersoph

I didn’t, I decided to check online before I went to bed and it had my decision posted

so, they do update your applicant link at night?
Then I will keep checking more even at night…

Yeah I checked my applicant link in the morning and there was nothing then I checked it again at like 10 PM Boston time and I was accepted

^
before getting a decision, did you applicant link show this message?
“Our records currently indicate that your application for admission is complete.”
then it changed to “you are accepted” something like that?

I am going to the College Fair in Pasadena,CA today.
Representatives of BU will be there.

If u are living in Los Angeles area, u should come!

I had the complete message and then when I got accepted there was a new tab at the top of the page that said “Decisions” and I clicked in Admission Decision and it showed a message saying that I was accepted

did u get an e-mail first?
or just the applicant link?

No e-mail I just logged on and saw that it had changed

hey guys, my Mid-Term grades were missing and my application was incomplete. It just turned complete today. But my applicant link says ,

“Our records currently indicate that your application for admission is complete. Please note that the status of your application file and the required credentials are only accurate to date.”

What does “are only accurate to date” mean? Did any of you guys get the same thing?

^
I 'm having the same page after sending my mid-year report
I guess “accurate to date” means they would only update once a day?

Oh Ok, How long after the application is complete do you think the decisions are made?

AfroGenius and Dargor13, this only means they will ask for something else if they need! So far, you guys have the application complete!

AfroGenius, no idea! I sent my common app on Feb. 1st and all my materials were received in mid-march. I’ve been waiting for a good time, so I really don’t know. Some people applied later and were already accepted.

@Aprione

I haven’t received anything in the mail yet but my financial aid awards were available on my applicant link account right when I was accepted. Click on financial aid status.

And for me I think it was around 3 weeks from my application being complete to having a decision.

Hey! Has anyone heard back from Sargent College?! I’m dying to know if I got in or not.
Current College GPA: 3.94

On a side note, does anyone know what happens if you get a failing grade while trying to transfer? I saw that BU won’t take anything lower than a C, so does the class basically just get erased from your record?

no news guys?
im still waiting…

Nope, still waiting too…hearinf the time tik louder, each second slower than the previous.

Well its the weekend guys. I’m sure they’ll release some decisions next week, and the week after, and so on.

Hi all!

My name is Nicole! New to this forum. I just got accepted into CAS today for chemistry. My stats for those interested are college GPA: 3.77, hsGPA: 3.4, did not submit SAT/ACT scores, doing a double major at my current university (UMD) in psychology and chemistry.

Wish the best for those still waiting to hear back and congratulations to all those already accepted!
