Ooh, so they’re not emailing rejections? Aha, but I live in China. Letters literally take a minimum of 2 and a half weeks to get to my house!
I’m glad I have to wait so long for a nice, hearty “no”. (:

Done, rejected.

Did anyone who got rejected notice a status change on their brown university application profile? I live in Thailand so it will take ages to get a letter…just want to know if they change anything while sending the letter. Thanks :)

My page still says “Admission decisions are currently not available.”

So does mine. Did anyone get their decisions via email/status change on the website?
I have little faith in mail reaching me halfway across the world before its too late :

Can anyone look in their phones for waitlist acceptance calls from admissions and see if the number resembles this: 401-856-****

I got a call today but was disconnected. Want to know if it was from Brown Admission.
Thanks.

@mountainsnow,

If you check Brown’s Admissions contact information the numbers used are:

(401)863-2378
(401)863-4357

I’m assuming all calls from this office are some derivation of (401)863-####.
After some further investigation it seems most/all of the numbers coming from Brown University are (401)863-####.

EDIT: http://www.verifyphone.com/area-code-reviews/401-856

It seems (401)856-#### leads to Newport, Rhode Island, not Providence, Rhode Island.
I have no idea where you are from, but do you know anybody from Newport, Rhode Island?

Now this could either be some random call or maybe one of the employees within the admissions office simply used his or her cellphone as opposed to his or her office phone.

Good luck and I hope for the best!

@101mutts
and you have not been rejected via mail yet? I guess that’s a good sign then :)

still no mail…on my page, admission decisions are still “unavailable”

are they notifying internationals by regular mail as well? that seems like a terrible idea

for everyone that has gotten off the waitlist:

to accept our spots in the class of 2015 we have to send in that card with our names, addresses, etc. or email them with the same information by the 23rd. i want to email brown with the information because i don’t know if my card will get there on time but i don’t remember all of the information on the card! if you can remember the information can you please message me or reply?

thank you so much!

@NISTki I was rejected by mail. I didn’t receive any email from them about the rejection. (Undergraduate Admissions emailed me just saying that they received my email of updated information) I’m from the east coast.

@101mutts
Sorry to hear that. Could you check selfservice.brown.edu and tell me whether they change the decision status from “Admission decisions are currently not available.” when they’ve made their decision?
Thanks!

As I posted before, it still says: Admission decisions are currently not available.

are they starting the next wave this week?

can any international students please tell me how they were notified. thanks

@ 101mutts
Oh ok thanks. Yeah I just got my rejection in the mail.

@ morsels
