@isaiahahhhchuu ooo, hmm i would say you have more than just a decent shot. I can not say for sure though because it is not Business. 3.5 is good, and that you’ve completed all you can. I would call Admissions tomorrow and ask their opinion because that is a hardship on your CC itself and not on you. it is not your fault.
@221bbb yeah you’re good. I would say your only competition is Cuesta students that have the same stats as you, and there might only be a handful of students that have those stats out of Cuesta. Cuesta kids get more of a priority on the Algorithm.
@sb1993 it depends, every year is different. This year it seems that Admissions was delayed for some reason; my guess is that they’ll release all at once because they are running behind schedule. Don’t quote me on that though, that is just what I think personally. Previous years was by major though. I mean by each “school” at Cal Poly.
@joogman23 Isn’t this year scheduled setting up just like last years? Thursday and Friday OOS students heard back, then transfers and in-state all that following week.
@GED2Degree being that the MCA system is just a computer, they do not use a model strictly on out of state applicants. Everyone is thrown into one pool, unless, you are an athlete and have already signed to SLO. Athletes get their own model and are forced entry into the school.
Out of state applicants gets less points than us transfer students in state in the Algorithm. To answer your question, everyone will know at the same time. The theory of OOS finding out first is completely incorrect. OOS students are in the same pool as everyone else.
@GED2Degree Correction on my part. They run the MCA system with the out of state pool, this part is correct. But, they will NOTIFY out of state applicants first, and then comes in state. Hope that helps. Source: Director of Admissions
looking at the RD thread for class of 2019, and some OOS in Biochemistry and in-state have been admitted in Biology. Someone in Aerospace hasn’t heard though, so, either they are rejected, or good 'ol CPSLO is puppeteering our little hearts.
@golfer112 I don’t believe so, I want to say tomorrow because it’s kind of late by now to release decisions. The staff is probably asleep by now, I would anticipate tomorrow or next week like I projected.
I know that fall gps isn’t contributed to the application gpa but will the classes I took contribute when my application is run thru the program? I Finished everything (igetc, major prep, desired courses last fall. @joogman23
@sb1993 This means nothing. I was requested to submit mine because I am an international applicant. However, transcripts are only requested from accepted non-international students.
Good luck!
@dabay77m those extra classes won’t hurt you or help you. You’ve done all you can by maximizing your potential for SLO. You’re good to go, and you’ve completed everything. Expect an acceptance in my opinion.
