I called BC an hour ago as my D hasn't heard anything at all. They are still mailing letters, they were sent on Wed, Thurs, Fri. The kind lady reported she was still folding letters. So, it could be days...... I'll email her the agora info and see if she has the guts to look, I don't, I'm sensing bad news here.

Congrats advantagious!!! That's great!!!

And flylikeapenguin: Wake is great, you can't go wrong!

Aah sadness, no links for my D on Agora. Hopefully it's a pity waitlist, but that would be 3/3 of her top choices, all but one of which she met/exceeded the stats for. She's into 5 other good to great schools, so it's not really a problem, just disappointing. She seems Ok. Guess we won't be so anxious about the next few days' mail. :-(

Congrats to all who are going to this great school, enjoy!

hm... well I have the links. Either way, this whole situation just seems so stupid that it is a big turn off for Boston College itself. Why on earth wouldn't they just send all the letters out at once? I think it is honestly one of the stupidest things that I have ever heard. If the rest of the school operates at all like the admissions office does, count me out!

Hey flylikeapenguin, we're right with you in DC area-- nothing though all my Ds friends have heard. I presume she's wl/rej based on Agora, but it would be nice to have final word.

I, too, am unimpressed by the slow response of BC admissions, lack of communication and the confusion the useless Agora link has provided.

Good luck to you, and, as a Wake Alum, to you I say "Go Deacs!". (My D is accepted at Wake but prefers to stay up north). Really, you won't go wrong with either BC or WFU!

Still nothing in GA either if that helps at all. I was assuming all responses at this point would be rejections, and then I see some still getting accepted. What's going on? Are they waiting until some people decline their acceptances and then making decisions on their "leftover" pile or have they already made the decisions and just aren't bothering to mail them out? Why do I even still care at this point? I question if D does anymore...even kids burn out on the waiting game after a point and stop picturing themselves attending a school that can't be bothered to acknowledge them.

Sorry. Anxious and disgruntled parent venting here. Please take me with a grain of salt!

^^I know it's tough, but consider the fact that sometimes the mail is just slow. I'm in Illinois, and I've had huge variances in mail delivery time from the east coast--anything from 2 days to a whole week. It also seems that BC has staggered their releases slightly, which is annoying, but it does not appear to be decision based (i.e., many kids were waitlisted/rejected last week, while some were accepted, and kids are still getting all three decisions this week). So...try to tough it out, I guess!

Thanks for the encouragement advantagious. It looks like you have some excellent schools from which to choose and will do well wherever you go. Good luck!
