<p>Also, I would think that Pitt looks more “kindly” at those who apply early as those students have shown an “interest” in the school (and perhaps will attend if given a scholarship). Those who apply say in February/March, you can assume Pitt was not at the top of their list especially since Pitt’s application is one of the most simplest to complete.</p>

So excited! This is my first acceptance and Pitt is my safety, but still. It said I was eligible for the honors college, but that I’ll receive something later from them.</p>

<p>innocentkid–a magnet school is a public school that specializes in something. A well-known magnet is Thomas Jefferson in Fairfax County Virginia (D.C.) suburb. It is a math and science magnet school. At its graduation, they announce: “Welcome to the graduation ceremonies for the finest public school in America.” There are also arts magnet schools as you may have seen in the movie and TV show FAME.</p>

<p>Just got letter today - FULL TUITION HONORS SCHOLARSHIP and application to apply for Chancellors.</p>

<p>Came about 2 weeks after acceptance letter.</p>

<p>Congratulations! I guess they are still sending out the scholarship letters within a few weeks of the acceptance letters.</p>

<p>The dreaded: “… and regrets to inform you that we are unable to offer you admission to the University of Pittsburgh’s Pittsburgh Campus for fall 2010.” I just received the letter when i got home.</p>

<p>I was wondering if they received my sat scores for nov.7; it will be posted tomorrow nov.24
They asked me to consider one of their branch campuses-Greensburg.</p>

<p>^^Since your daughter was just accepted, I assume you have yet to be invited to apply for med school guarantee. There’s a whole nother application/essays and an interview process, just so you know what to expect.</p>

<p>I just got the pharmacy guarantee! I’m SO excited!</p>
