*Official Class of 2016 University of Michigan EA Decisions Thread*

yeah…my account says that too…I was just wondering why

Mine says LSA Undeclared…

my academic plan has been listed since i applied.

Does anybody have anything listed under their “academic sub-plan”? I’m curious as to what that is and I’m not quite sure. I applied PA to Ross and was wondering if it should say business under that heading?

Mine says LSA undeclared

I have standard scores and GPA for UM. My ECs are excellent, but you can still never be sure.

GL all.

does anybody know how much it helps to be on a dean’s reference list? do you think it will boost my chances at all?

anyone know the date admissions decisions are coming out! I cant wait any longer!!!

They say by the 23rd. I’d guess it’s either then or a few days earlier.

I sure hope they dont wait til the 23rd. The 16th would be nice.

After looking at the “College Acceptances for a LA school” thread on the Parents forum confirmed I have no shot. I’ll be lucky to be deferred

the 23rd is way too late =( I think the 16th is the absolute longest i can wait!!!

UPDATE: apparently my dad’s bosses son (i dont know him personally) received notification of deferral from U of M yesterday…so i guess they started sending stuff out.

stewta4…is he in state or out? any chance you know how he was notified, via wolverine access? I thought someone on the UM threads mentioned an email would be sent out a little bit before decisions start posting…

he’s instate. I’m fairly certain he was towards the lower end of the applicant pool academically, but not positive. I’m not sure how he was notified, sorry. He lives like an hour away from me and i’ve never met him haha, my dad just told me about it.

can you figure that out?

@lindsey I don’t think i can. Trust me, I already tried to ask my dad to inquire further, but, understandably, my dad went off about how he wasn’t going to obnoxiously question his boss about how his son got deferred… it would be a different story if he was accepted i suppose.

also @lindsyoxo was this admissions officer someone you knew personally or did you call U of M. Also how long ago did they tell you that everything was coming on one day?

I bet your dad got mis information something doesn’t sound right

Why would his boss lie about his son being deferred? Thats not something good, so why lie about it? I think the reality of it is that only a tiny percent of Michigan applicants are on College Confidential, most people havn’t even heard of this site, so maybe our views our limited. My theory is that the people that are very underqualified (I think his son is) get notified first because they are easy decisions. (Most underqualified people dont dare to come on CC. We are either over qualified or competitive)

Not to mention, when i went to campus the admissions lady said they had people start applying in August. Those who applied very early will probably hear back before most of us.
