** Official Class of 2017 University of Michigan EA Decisions Thread **

december 24th? I NEED TO KNOW NOW

I happened to peruse the Class of '16 Facebook group recently and that probably made me more anxious than I already am. These are going to be the longest few weeks ever. :(

Might’ve already been asked but is UMich your all’s top school regardless of wherever else you get accepted?

@quicnnkennedy for the most part, at least for me, UMich is my #1. Cost, distance, academia, everything is perfect. What about you?

Thanks for the clarification - my DS did apply EA (just checked).
We are OOS. Just wondering his chances. Did not get any feedback on the chances thread

Just stumbled into this thread now! Happy to see that there are plenty of other people anxiously awaiting decisions (: Makes me feel a little less strange to be feeling worried about it.

Just found this :smiley:
Good luck to you all!

@collegeparanoia I am pretty sure, as of recently. I just visited a couple weeks ago. It was an amazing experience (minus the weather, but I’m from Miami so…)!

@ergalassi, you are definitely not alone in that! :)

@ergalassi

Why wouldn’t we be worried about our decisions? It is Mich after all.

@quinnkennedy, absolutely. I’ve only applied to 3 places - a safety, another safety (financially) and UMich, from which UMich is easily my top choice. It’s just… well, it’s my dream school. :)

Are they going to announce ahead of time when they’re going to start sending out decisions?

I think so. Isn’t that what they did last year? According to last year’s thread, counselors were e-mailed as well.

A couple of days before they send out the decisions they send everyone a heads up letter to sort of get you prepared for the decision…las year it was around 3 days before they sent the decisions.

@weshahy95

Good, so hopefully I won’t have to start worrying until 3 days before decisions come out.

I think, according to last year’s thread, we would wind up getting emails a day or two before we get the decision letters themselves. At least I won’t have to sit outside by the mailbox in the snow waiting for my answer! :P

December’s about to start…it won’t be too long now!

Ahh! I don’t know what I should be feeling…ANXIETY.

It’s hard to believe that in about 2 or 3 weeks, it’s time… we’ll learn where we are in the decision, if we’ve been accepted and our worries can be at ease, if we land in the perilous route of the deferral or we get flat-out rejected. I hope the best for all of us. >:

This is probably be one of a trillion times I’ll say this in the next few weeks but good luck to all!

I hope I can get to meet you all! :D

Well I only applied to U of M… So hopefully I receive a nice acceptance in my email around the same date people did last year
