Oh, no… I’m going to be out all evening tomorrow, with access to my phone. However, I don’t want to look at it in public in case it’s bad… What do I do?!?
Ahh I’m so nervous!!!

I’m still pretty certain that not everyone will receive a decision tomorrow, so hockeygirl I wouldn’t stress too much–or to check your phone whenever you need to use the bathroom. Or lie and say that you have to go to the bathroom every 3 minutes or so to check. Whichever.

Haha, startwithm, I’m probably going to do the latter
I know I might not get my decision tomorrow, but that won’t stop me. I’m so anxious…

Notre Dame comes out tomorrow as well! Got rejected by my top choice school, so tomorrow is gonna be a stressful day (or possibly a glorious day)… D:

Reminder that there has been a separate thread created for DECISIONS ONLY. Makes it easier in the future for people to see who got in/deferred and what stats they had.

Reeya,

Admission decisions will be released on or before the 24th of December. Please check your email for the notification from our office. Not all Early Action qualified applicants will receive their admission decisions at the same time.

Go Blue!"

@ivoryphoenix926 Ask why you were sent that email in livechat and if they can’t give you a satisfactory answer
, ask them for the contact info of your regional admissions counselor

Not to freak anyone out or anything, but here are the facts:

1) Apparently U of M will likely start releasing decisions tomorrow

2) Not everyone will receive their decision at the same time

3) They will obviously meet the deadline of Dec. 24

4) With an increased # of applicants, they will most likely defer a lot of students. This does not mean you’re not a qualified applicant…U of M receives a lot of qualified applicants who are great students, but with so many of them, the college is not 100% about admitting all of them. (I am 99.9% that I will get deferred/denied…only because there are many, many other applicants who are just as or more qualified than me).

5) Good luck, everyone! Remember, it does not always strongly matter where you study for your undergraduate…it’s all about how you’ll apply yourself during college, wherever you choose to attend.

6) RESULTS AND THE STATS after DECISIONS are RELEASED are to be posted in a new thread, NOT THIS ONE!

So I know that if I am deferred or rejected I can apply to a different Unit, but what if I am admitted but want to be considered for an alternate unit instead (aka I applied for the wrong unit…)?

@cutiedida you can transfer schools after being admitted without reapplying–it requires some sort of fairly-irritating process, but don’t stress too much about it :)

so we know that they release based on region, right? like if theres a certain # of apps done they’ll send to that area. what do we think the 1st regions will be? michigan obviously, then what, like new york?

What do you guys think the EA acceptance rate will be? 30%?

Ugh I’m from Florida. It will probably be awhile

Hey Guys,

Just wanted to wish all of you luck, I’ve been following this thread for a while and I know i’m going to be exactly like this next year, so I hope all of you get in. Go Blue!

@IMRP23, what are your stats and what college did you apply to? It seems that I am not as qualified as most people, so if you think you’ll get deferred/denied, I am curious to know where I stand in relationship to you. Thanks!

It should be around 30%. I’m not sure if they would accept 9,000 EA applicants. They only accept 15,000 total. They might defer a lot.

So we applicants in Michigan will find out first?? Or nah?

they accepted 18k+ last year @Miw140. It’s all a formula used to get them down to 6 thousand seats in the end.

@bottomCat I’m not sure. If tomorrow is indeed the day, then we should see decisions coming out @3 fairly quickly. I do not believe residency will play a significant role in when you get your decision.
