I still have hope and believe that they’re still coming out this Friday

I too hold out hope for decisions being released Friday. Does anyone know if any counselors received an e-mail from umich stating when decisions would be released? Last year, they sent out e-mails on Wednesday and decisions were posted on Friday.

Guys it’ll be less than 2 days now. Good luck focusing on anything else

Where are you all from?

I’m from Maryland, but currently I’m doing an exchange for 10 months in Brazil.

I’m already having a hard time focusing. I stayed up to 130 last night. Now I have a test in Calc and AP bio, and I just can not study at all!

I hope the 30K EA is not true as well. Last week, I asked an UM financial aid officer how many EA did UM receive this year during a presentation, I totally thought it was a joke when he answered. I asked him again whether it was 13K or 30K, he clearly told me again it was 30K. He told me that is why the admissions are extremely busy this year.

I was still thinking I heard it wrong after I came back home that day until I saw a posting about last year’s EA number - the 22K.

And today when I called, it was a lady who told me the 30K EA again. So I think it probably is true.

Did you see the ED percentage jump for U Penn and Duke this year?

UM is definitely a great school, and since EA is non-binding, why not try if you have the option. I think a lot of the top students are applying UM just as backup plans.

Caaaali. Nervous as crap. To ease tensions, how about we talk about something happy? What made you guys decide to choose Michigan?

I cant even think of something to put down haha

I was always considering it because its cheaper with in state and the psych program is awesome but I went to my first UM football game this year and I was convinced. I’m in love with the atmosphere.

I’m applying from Colorado; however, my Dad works with the military in Troy, so my family is moving to MI this summer. I’m freaking out right now because I feel like I need to get into UofM for family and financial reasons. I have no Duke or Harvard as my priority and Michigan as my fallback plan, it’s pretty much UMich or the notorious CU Boulder here in CO (Boulder= totally not my scene haha). Where is everybody else applying from? Any other fellow Coloradans?? :)

@Truepassion - Yeah, that’s me right here… Applied to Umich as a backup, and now I’m getting slightly nervous. Well, not really. I just wanna find out the results so I can move on with my apps. Applying to other colleges is much easier when you already have an acceptance letter to a great school. Then again, if I get rejected, I’m gonna have to quickly apply to a couple other safeties…

I am applying to Michigan because I was born there, my Dad was born there, my parents met there, my grandparents met there, and I have grown up my entire life being a fan of the school and sports.

Applying from New York!

Also, will Michigan announce the date on which it’s sending its acceptances out? Or will they just email us to tell us they’re available?

O yeah Im applying from the Chicago land area

Yeah, Michigan’s a backup for me too. If I don’t get in, I’m going to apply to a few Canadian schools (honestly, I want to apply to them but my mom won’t let me unless I really need a few last minute backups).

This may seem offensive to some devoted Michigan applicants, but I want to see what everyone thinks. Exactly how true is the stereotype that most everyone there acts like they’re 40 years old/are uptight/refuse to believe any other school is better than theirs? I have asked kids from my school that were accepted and they looked at me like I was an idiot…mostly because they fit the stereotype that I just described. What are your thoughts?

What time will you guys be checking for your results?

@APodge I’ve never heard that stereotype or found that to be true amongst the people I’ve known who have applied or attended
