** Official Class of 2018 University of Michigan EA Decisions Thread **

@ersnyc Totally! I really just want to sit by my computer all day until I get an email, but I can’t do that unfortunately! Haha.

@ASmarciniak i got an email at 7:45

@wap1005

What time did you receive the email?

Two years ago when my daughter applied, she got her email at 11:45 pm Friday night. Some of her friends got theirs Saturday, Sunday and even Monday.

@wap1005

Mind my asking of which college you applied to within U of M? I am waiting for an email still, and applied to the CoE

@calvinhou96

I have similar stats. I do not understand how people with lower test scores and GPAs got in… :(

Extremely happy that this long journey of 3 and 1/2 high school years has culminated with an acceptance to UMICH’s college of engineering. Best of luck to you all and I am excited I to meet those who have been accepted and plan on going to Ann Arbor. Take care guys. I know you will be amazing wherever you go and in whatever you decide to study.

Daughter got her acceptance to LSA about an hour ago here in Florida. Go Blue!

@mich2018 you should call admissions !!! good luck ! stay optimistic!

I still haven’t gotten my freaking decision!! Ahhhh everybody else in my school has either been deferred or accepted except me!

just got accepted today!

i have a question though: what do we have to do for the financial aid process? ive already submitted my CSS profile when i submitted the application and the acceptance email doesn’t say anything about financial aid?

@michh2018 on the website it says undergrad admissions number is 734-764-7433 ! on the website it says the calling hours close at 8 pm! try calling tomorrow!

Nothing here either T_T

Hey Guys. I still haven’t gotten my EA reply… other kids in my grade have heard already. Is anyone else in the same situation? I’m so nervous!!!

Ya I still havent gotten my decision either.

If you have everything submitted Michigan will be in touch. Finaid comes in the spring, but if there is anything you need to do you will hear from the college. Now that you are accepted, check your messages for info on deposits, orientation, scheduling, anything left to do for finaid, etc.

Can you please stop lying about receiving merit aid? There are some of us who are legitimately concerned about receiving money and your banter and trolling does not help us feel any better.

Deferred. Freaking mad.

hank you for your application to the University of Michigan College of Engineering for Fall 2014. We are pleased that you have applied and are impressed with your achievements. However, our high application volume, coupled with the very strong credentials of our applicants in recent years, has contributed to an increasingly competitive admissions process. As a result, we are writing to inform you that your application is currently being deferred for further review.

While this is not the answer that you were hoping to hear, your application remains under consideration. All final admissions decisions of admit, deny, or waitlist will be made no later than early April, 2014.

Is this a “good” email?

Yeah that’s the “good” one because they say they’re impressed with you. When did you receive your decision?

No offense, but I think questions about financial aid should be reserved for another thread there are people who are still waiting for their email/WA update and all the talk about aid could be discouraging, just sayin’
