Man, imagine decisions coming out on the 24th. That could either be the best or worst Christmas present ever. Plus, isn’t the admissions office on break Christmas Eve? It would seem awfully odd if they sent them on a holiday. Also, the waves of emails would still carry over to Christmas Day, which still seems weird to me. There would be no one in the admissions office to take calls/answer emails…

Yea I think it’s safe to say the 24th is a hard deadline and that at least some of us will here before then

CaBoosers, when I asked the lady at the front desk (who was an admissions rep with a um badge on her chest), she told me that it wasn’t today, nor would it be friday the 20th. She specifically said the 24th is when you will get it. So don’t get your hopes up guys and just hang back and enjoy senior year

I did however ask her what the status of my application is, and the guy at the front desk almost told me but the lady stopped him from saying anything “don’t tell them, it’s against the law”. However, she did tell me I would have a very happy christmas Go blue.

I hope it’s not on the 24th! I can’t do that! I’ll panic and my Christmas will be so nerve wracking!

I think the 24th is when you receive the physical letter of acceptance…

Well you guys can think whatever you want, I’m just saying what the admissions person told me in person.

@wolverine1996, what was your ACT/UW GPA?

I don’t think there is any chance of all admissions being released on the 24th. And please stop badgering the online support about it… They just don’t want to make any false promises. The only thing they know for sure is that all results will be sent out by the 24th. That’s the only thing they’re going to tell you, so there’s no point in asking over and over. However, U of M has always released their results in waves over several days. So, since 24th is the latest, it’s pretty obvious that results will start coming in a few days before that. But nobody will tell you the exact date until the first decisions are actually sent out.

Their guarantee is all EA decisions released by the 24th AT THE LATEST. The point of EA is to hear back sooner and so I doubt they plan to have decisions come out later than the 24th. That being said, it would suck major balls to be deferred on Christmas Eve

Aren’t they going to start releasing the decisions on the 15th?

So what wolverine1996 is saying is that if we walk into the admissions office they’ll hint at our decision for us? Lol…

It feels so bad to know that your application is sitting in a file somewhere, it’s already set in STONE, and I just want to know what they’ve decided on :x

Quite possibly wolverine. I suppose it depends on the impression you give to them. I didn’t give them the “I’m desperate please let me in” feel. I just gave them a calm and respectable young adult impression who is a passionate wolverine that volunteered at the university before.

I agree with cabooser. I just want Umich to release the decisions instead of letting it sit on the server.

Has anyone tried bribing an admissions officer yet

I seriously cannot wait another 7-11 days…

Anyone else dying from the fact that almost every other college in the entire country released their decisions today? :(

im so sad… i haven’t even been trying in school cause of this michigan stuff… ugh

Me too I have so much stuff due next week (before winter break) :(((

chance me 4.0 UW, 29 on ACT. In-state

^ How many APs, also LSA or Engineering?
