SCREW the CRAPPLE and IPHONE 5Same**** . All about that Android Samsung LG

Mods please delete this post

Haha I would get an Android but I’m so used to iOS now I don’t wanna make the switch. Having it jailbroken makes it tons better tho

@Amraam yeah my brother got in after getting deferred and my family is asian. And his deferral wasn’t based on race, he just had low stats.

To whomever asked about ADHD: the common app has a place where you can write about extenuating circumstances (additional information?). use that. don’t waste your common app essay talking about ADHD when obviously you’re so much more than that. I was going to write about having an ED and my counselor told me that you are basically trying to get someone to fall in love with you in ten minutes- it’s a first date, don’t mention anything negative. If you can talk about it in a way that makes you look stronger for it, go for it. Just don’t pull the “oh woe is me” excuse. you’ll just look whiny and entitled.

Sucks getting deferred. I either want a fast unpainful rejection or a fast acceptance. IDK why colleges trying to tease people

Are any of you in IB?

IB Diploma?

@cabooser yes

I didn’t mention having ADHD anywhere at all on the common app. I wish someone had told me this sooner…

Joohyo, deferrals do indeed suck, but colleges aren’t trying to tease people; they are trying to admit applicants who they feel complement the student body well. And why would you want a rejection letter over a deferral one? That would sting even worse.

I am reminded of a quote by Katherine Hepburn: “We are taught you must blame your father, your sisters, your brothers, the school, the teachers - but never blame yourself. It’s never your fault. But it’s always your fault, because if you wanted to change you’re the one who has got to change.”

Good luck to all!

By the way, who here is applying to the College of Engineering? (I applied for CS at the CoE)

I’m doing a combo of IB certificates and AP classes since my school only offers a limited number of courses in each subject group.

Because I am in the IB Diploma and I’ve seen some stats online that it really helps your chances of getting into Mich

IB Diploma holders on average for each college have a 10% higher of getting in or something.

I applied CoE

I’m also doing comp sci/engineering at CoE

@Amraam120 thank you for that quote pretty good. And I just want a fast acceptance or rejection straight forward answers. Cause even if the college accept me like they ruined my mood already.

I saw that one year Michigan had a 78.5% acceptance rate for IB diploma students

Compsci over here too.

Trust me, I’ve gotten two rejection letters (Caltech and Columbia) and nothing brightens up a day like getting flat-out rejections from two of the colleges you most want to go to. :D

I applied to CoE for computer engineering
