sounds like a deferral message, mainly because they’re saying a decision will be made on or before March, which is when most colleges accept their students.
I agree BTM83099 - it sounds that way, but it feels unclear. It says they will make a decision on the actual status of the application by March. So, If it’s deferred, I would hope they would say - the “status” of the application is “Deferred” It sounds like they are putting of the decision itself until they look at other applications?
I’m curious if anyone has seen a message also, or what types of other message updates are being made besides “accepted.” It feels like a limbo land for now.

What’s your gpa and test scores? @msugirl2021

EC: cheer, key club, volunteer, president of FCCLA
I talked to my admissions counselor / rep at a college fair ( Johnson I think is her name ) and she said I would probably get in so cross my fingers.
For anyone in state that has been accepted can you share your region? All documents received 8/30, 4.4 weighted GPA, 3.99 UW, 33 ACT, 12 AP’s, NHS president, multiple clubs including debate and Michigan HS Democrats, varsity tennis; concerned because haven’t heard anything and it looks like others with similar stats have been accepted…
@Evie17 I’m from Oakland County, idk if that helps.
Anyone know when they’ll start sending out scholarship letters?
@itsgettingreal17 When you receive your acceptance letter there will be a flyer “You’re A Spartan!..” that describes next steps. As for scholarships, they say letters will come out starting in December. Pour a cup of tea, put up your feet.
I think you may hear something from the Honors College prior? Some scholarships are through the HC…plus the invite for ADS.
Any updates from anyone? My application is still in review.
In state, 3.7/4 unweighted GPA, 1260/1600 SAT, 4APs.

My son was accepted within a week of applying. 30 ACT / 1350 SAT; 3.90; lots of AP and honor classes. He applied by 9/28 everything was in, accepted by 10/3.
My daughter was accepted this morning. She applied on Oct 9. In state (SE MI) 32 ACT/4.1 WGPA/several AP/Honors
Anyone from Grand Rapids and surrounding area heard from admissions yet?
Accepted for Computer Science, Out of State, 31 ACT/3.39 Weighted GPA, took a decent amount of AP and dual enrollment classes.
Actually surprised I got accepted because of my GPA, but am excited in potentially being a Spartan!
Update on my situation: I have enrolled at MSU and am (technically) officially an MSU Spartan I signed up for my AOP session and paid my deposit. Now I am going to try to apply for a single room (just to see if I can get one. If I’m forced to have a roomate that’s fine). Go Green, Go White!!
If I were you, have a roomate. Especially being our first year, it’s always great to have another person to lean onto.
@lnicole I would tend to agree having a roommate is a good thing in the long run. College isn’t just about the academics but its about and education. That means learning new things, like having to learn to live with someone other than a family member, how to deal with disputes, how to adjust to your differences and similarities.
From all your post you seem pretty outgoing so that is a positive and it sounded like you will have friends attending as well. I can understand not wanting to ruin a good friendship by rooming with that person but you may want to try to find one for that first year.
We are heading to MSU tomorrow for an official tour this Saturday. Its down to two schools for my D, IU and MSU. She was at IU yesterday and Saturday we are spending at MSU. Both great schools and she’s been accepted at both so it will come down to which one feels right for her.
@baedrillaurd what was your unweighted gpa?
