@c011e9e yes same. Hopefully we will hear back soon. Write back once you receive your decision.
@2janner2 of course! Same goes to you
Hi everyone, I applied for Broad class of fall 2017 as a transfer student on Nov 15th. As I see, there are many students heard back within couple weeks. But my portal still stays as receiving, even though I did update all of my course. Does anyone know how long it might take to be reviewed? I’m still waiting day by day TT
@c011e9e I applied to prenursing and got an acceptance letter 4 days ago! Good luck!
Do you know if MSU is sending letters of acceptance or just updating to portal? I had all my documents in 11/8, and I still haven’t heard:/
@cmyers2017 they will send you an email about the updated portal, and afterwards they’ll send an acceptance letter to your home if you’re admitted. Good luck on your application
Accepted :). Astrophysics major, 4.0 GPA, 31 ACT
S got scholarship notification in the mail today–in an envelope from MSU James Madison College (his major)–University Scholars Award, Red Cedar Scholarship, and Presidential Study Abroad Scholarship. He’s still waiting to hear from the Honors College, so there may be a little more. It’s getting close to being economically feasible for him…
Sorry–S actually got 2 things from MSU today, one was from James Madison, welcoming him and giving him info about the program. The scholarship letter cam from the Office of Admissions. I got confused with the 2 letters…
Hey guys! I was accepted and I picked Microbiology as my major. Anyone else?
Also, does anyone know when they’re going to release financial aid information?
Accepted! Chemical engineering ACT 25 SAT 1170 GPA unweighted 3.45. Only my portal changed. I did not get an email or letter in the mail.
@2janner2 hey, got accepted! Anything yet?
@MSU88CHeng, when was your son accepted? We are OOS and we are patiently waiting to hear about scholarships. We visited in November and they said they were being sent out between Thanksgiving and Christmas. Can I ask how much the University Scholars Award for and what his stats were. Also, I’ve heard of Presidential Study Abroad but am unclear what that means - did they clarify? Does it pay for their semester abroad if they decide to go? Thank you for any info you could share.
@monjmom S applied very late Oct., and was accepted Nov. 11. The University Scholars is $8,000 per year for 4 years, the Presidential Study Abroad is a one-time $3,000-$5,000 scholarship for a study abroad program–it won’t cover the whole cost of the program (especially OOS tuition), but makes it closer to feasible for OOS students. His scores are a little low to make the Honors College, but he says he wants to write the essay and see what they say, and that could bump him up another $7,000 in merit aid. He has a 94 UWA, is ranked ~10/160 in his class, has a 1340 SAT and a 28 ACT.
@MSU88CHEng how does one apply to the honors college?
. Son just accepted via email (and on the web page). Submitted on Oct 1st and OOS. Need to fly out and see the school, but we heard great things!
@nikhil99 The application to MSU is also your application to the honors college. Decisions from honors college are received 4-8 weeks after you receive your MSU acceptance.
@c011e9e Congratulations! and no I haven’t heard anything yet. Were you accepted today?
Just an update for my D. She was accepted a while ago as OOS. Today we just received a letter that she is awarded the University Scholars Award ($8k per year) and also the Presidential Study Abroad Scholarship (one time $3k-$5k). I don’t recall the date of her acceptance, but it was around the end of October. So about 8 weeks before we received todays letter. So anyone who was accepted around that same time might start hearing if you haven’t already.
