people say that the FA receipt says december 9.

Wombatlikewoah!

another pontificator…hmmm…can tell everyone is getting touchy…waiting sucks but there is no reason to be mean. “Stupidity” is something we can all admit to, if not we do not belong here, after all we are all here seeking help, advice, inside information, support etc. If we were all geniuses why would we risk posting information here that could be used for or against us. Teliing someone to stop posting stupid stuff is like telling yourself to not post insulting posts…its a free site–and everyone is edgy so knock off the personal insults–columbia09 seems a very fine person…

Well I posted my info. many times on this site. I don’t regret anything that I posted on this site…SO…

Columbia if you are reading this I love you. I hope you love me back :D

No one listen to Columbia09… lol this person is a joke they applied in 09 and didn’t get in and i guess their coping mechanism is trying to dissuade more apt applicants from applying

^^^Lol so Columbia09 has an old grudge :P

Dude get on with life… seriously.

@waitlistman, im sure i speak for alot of people when i say I appreciate your sense of morality. However, if you click on Columbia09’s name and view some of his other posts its readily apparent that he is not applying to Columbia and has no admirable intentions by posting in the forum. So I say we move on and talk about something much more important, COLUMBIA!

this is the ED results page…
seriously, it’s already page 6 and the results aren’t even out yet. Should’ve made this post the day the results came out.

LMAO AT WAITLISTMAN

hey man, i don’t get angry easy, but I’m really about to … lmao what’s it to you? I lol’ed at columbia09 because I personally believe its kind of petty for some super wealthy ppl to shell out 5000 + dollars, sometimes up to 40k, to get college counselors that tell them what fundraisers to do, what activities to do, how to do stuff not out of passion, but for college admissions.

lmao what, are you one of those private counselors yourself? lol dude take your crap somewhere else. some other ppl that have posted after you are just being nice, but i seriously think they’re all thinking who the heck is this waitlistman and lmao at what’s he’s saying.

waitlistman, you ignorant noob (wow i cant believe this is the highest level of words i can use right now without getting banned) wombat told columbia09 to **** because he’s posting stuff that he pulled right out of his ___. its completely FALSE. its been establisehd. and dude, do you like ■■■■■/read through 10 pages of this just so u can stand up for this one person? lol get a life man

i wanted to say so much more, but i really dont wanna get banned. so waitlistman, just stop talking and go read a book or play runescape or something

@Gomcharge

Hahaha, I wish we could edit the title of this to: " The unofficial official ranting prior to results thread Class of 2015 ED results"

Silence, the OP, made a different “official” thread that has not had any postings in it, that one will be for the official results when they come out on the 9th.

The reason that you haven’t seen the official one is because no one has posted in it, so it has gone down to page 2 or 3 of the Columbia Discussion forum.

“#65 collegeftw- your friendship is questionable with statements like this post”

I LITERALLY LMAO SO HARD. like i wanna be your friend? haha. please stop talking waitlistman.

everyone else on this thread, please ignore the stuff i just said to waitlistman. please carry on the civil conversation on columbia and pretend the ignorant waitlistman never shared his asinine comments.

Has anyone gotten a likely letter?

I don’t think that people from the ED pool get those. It won’t be logical anyways.

only athletes (recruited) get those in early rounds. A dude that goes to my school was recruited for swimming, and he got a likely like a week after he submitted his app in november…lol

hahaha i side with you collegeftw. whats everyones choice of college after columbia?

UNC Chapel Hill, probably. I live in NC so acceptance won’t be that much of a big deal.

uchicago…duke, princeton, yale, harvard, you get the idea…lol

Umm…I was googling for information on when I would find out if I got in ED…and I found this…and YOU ALL MADE MY WEEK BY TELLING ME TO EXPECT IT THE 9TH!!!

I’m so incredibly super excited that I went through the annoying process of registering for this website just so I could tell all of you how excited I am! Oh, and also to tell stories about my interview.

I casually told this guy that I ran cross country. He gave me a once over and said, “You know you can’t run for Columbia, right?” If I was overweight or something, I’d understand, but I look like a runner, to be honest. Of course, he was right! But really…I also mentioned a dream job would involve government, State or Defense Dept. We were at a State Office building, and he says, very seriously, “Not a good time! We had lay-offs here today.” I wasn’t sure what to do with that, and moved the topic of conversation to sports. Which was clearly a bad idea.

Sorry, just had to rant to some like minded individuals!

Awkwarrrrdddd! How dumb!

What time have decisions historically come out? EST?
Also do Columbia applicants get emails or do we have to check their site?

5 PM EST, I believe.
You get an e-mail a few days before pointing you to a site where you log in with your information and there it will say something describing what you’ll see and a link to the actual decision with a warning right before it saying something like “your decision will be available on the following link with no pages between it. Please be prepared to see it once you click on the link”. The link won’t become active until 5 PM EST on decision day.
