ACCEPTED!

HOLY MOTHER OF CRAP!

My life has just changed in a way I can't even spell out by just reading one line!

To all the other accepted folks; SEE YOU THERE!

To those that weren't: I am so, so sorry. I've been getting a chain of rejections from the last two days so I know that feeling. And I know that the ''you're great anyway'' line from those who got in loses its charm after a while. So just DON'T let it stop you. Do whatever it takes to get where you want to go.

Congrats, undisclosed! I will probably see you there!

Eh... better than I expected, I guess

"I write to inform you that the Committee on Admissions has voted to postpone a final decision on your application for transfer admission. Your name has been placed on a short waiting list of students to be considered for admission should vacancies occur later this summer.

I understand that you may greet this news with mixed feelings. In choosing you as an alternate, the Committee believes that you would contribute to the life of Columbia University and benefit from its offerings. However, this has been by far the most rigorous selection process in Columbia's history. In such competition the distinctions among candidates can be fine ones indeed, but I can assure you that your application has been given every consideration."

wraider congrats!...there is still hope...don't give up! the waiting list is short...

yep, i'm waitlisted too!

Thanks, I actually realized Columbia wasn't really a great match for me a few weeks after I applied, so this wasn't that big a deal. But hopefully this will mean better news for Penn or Cornell.

Thanks for the congratulations guys. I am totally lost for word right now.

Sorry to those who were rejected as well. The admission was definitely a crap shoot and i'm sure many of you were more qualified than me. I wish you all the best and i know u guys will do great wherever u end up.

PS: Does anybody know the procedure to withdraw your application? Do you just call/email the admission offices of the specific colleges and request an withdrawal? I want to withdraw my application from Johns Hopkins and Northwestern but i have no idea how to.

ACCEPTED :))))) THE COLUMBIA COLLEGE, as a junior!
