yes it does. but it’s only if your username reveals personal information

Just wondering, has Columbia set a specific time on the 28th that decisions will come out?

5pm EST

Sent from my HTC One X using CC

Anyone know how decisions will be released? Email, portal log in?

@princeton2017 - I mean get a NEW username! I realize that that’s not what I said though!! :p

I think decisions will be via email linked to a portal!!
Because our applicant document check portal closes in some days I guess.

Does anyone know that your Arts Supplement was received and reviewed?

If so, how do you know?

So quiet in my mail box.

[ *] Unweighted GPA (out of 4.0): Roughly 3.7
[ *] Rank (percentile if rank is unavailable):7/249

[ *] IB (place score in parenthesis): No IBs at my school
[ ] Senior Year Course Load: AP Calc AB, AP English, AP Euro, AP Bio, Home Repair, Gym
[ ] Major Awards (USAMO, Intel etc.): No national awards, but I won a $500 research grant from a NJ/NY Science Fair and won an honorable mention. I also went to a state science fair and won second place in my category and two special awards.[/list][ b]Subjective:

[ *] Extracurriculars (place leadership in parenthesis): Environmental Club VP, Interact Club (Community Service) VP, National Honor Society, Spanish Honor Society Coordinator, Debate Club President, Freshman Mentoring Program, Newspaper, NJ Science League, Youth Advisory Council
[ *] Job/Work Experience: None
[ *] Volunteer/Community service: Library volunteer, did SAT Prep tutoring for a local nonprofit organization
[ *] Summer Activities: Summer after ninth: library; after tenth:research; after eleventh: preparing for SAT Prep tutoring
[ *] Essays: They were pretty good. My CommonApp talked about how my trip to Kenya fueled me to work hard in school and do community service. It sounds hackneyed, but it was pretty good considering the fact that I am Kenyan myself. My supplement was good. For the book question, I talked about how I loved Santiago’s persistence in The Old Man and the Sea. For the major question, I talked about how much I loved biology and how I wanted to be a doctor. For the Why Columbia question, I discussed how I loved CU’s research opportunities.
[ *] Teacher Recommendation: One was from my AP Bio teacher and research mentor and was really good. The other was terrible. My physics teacher wrote about how much my brother was better than me. >:( but whatever.
[ *] Counselor Rec: It was probably very generic. I haven’t even had her for a year.

Congrats saw that you got rejected from Uchicago…at least you got into Columbia!

^Funny that you saw a person elsewhere when he has only one post under his belt!

Hey how do you guys know that Columbia releases decisions March 28 at 5pm? I thought there wasn’t a set date and it was just late March

3/28 is this year’s common Ivy day. I think the trend is that it’s the last Thursday in March. All Ivies release decisions on the same day (and theoretically at the same time, although I believe emails go out in waves).

Thanks. UPenn did email me that they release their decision the 28th. I’m so nervous now.
