Official Columbia University Transfer Thread Fall 2012

@cudreams… can’t take it. How am I supposed to focus on studying for finals that are right around when we hear our decisions??? I have almost become tempted to put up a chances thread…

I haven’t sent mine in yet, my grades aren’t really available yet…I don’t know what to do. I am also afraid I might have a bad grade on there after one test. Hopefully I can send it in by next Tuesday.

just send it… colleges understand there is usually only one exam grade reflected in midterm reports… After all each semester only has 2-3 exams usually… If your grade is going to be a big problem, explain to the professor that you are applying to transfer and usually they’ll help you out by boosting your grade a bit.

The wait is INSANE!!! ARGH!!

agreed!! make it stop.

Where else are you guys applying??

Cornell (accepted), Yale, and Penn… how about you?

Stern (accepted), Yale, Penn, Brown and Stanford

Wow you guys are all set already!
I’m applying to Columbia, Stanford, Harvard, Yale, and Penn.

I’m applying to Harvard Columbia Stanford UPenn Cornell Brown UChicago Dartmouth

You guys are lucky to have already got acceptances.

I am applying to Michigan, NYU, Stanford, Columbia, Cornell and Harvey Mudd.

thanks, I am sure we will all hopefully have one!

Just got an email from columbia… my College Offical’s report is missing and they need it by next friday, my school takes 2 weeks to process it. ughhh

Applying from Cornell to Columbia

@cudreams

Would you mind posting when you applied to stern and your stats?

@BrettMess I have posted it all over CC, but check my profile…

I have a 3.85 cum from dartmouth and 4.0 midterm. applied back in february.

so good news is they still are saying they will issue their decision BY May 15th… hopefully it will be sooner!

That’s an awfully long wait though. Oh and by the way, I checked out the Cornell transfer thread, and everyone seems to be getting in. Hopefully some of that good fortune will extend to the good people of this thread.

^actually it’s a shorter wait than freshman admissions… it’s just difficult timing–for me it’s during finals. Last year they heard on the 13th (the 2nd Friday in May). If we are so lucky, then we should hear by the 11th.

^may be true, but it’s all a long wait.

Wondering if I should start a countdown. hmmm… To do or not to do…
