So then...just the Secondary School Report and the two teacher evaluations are all I send in?

I just went to Common App website. It still does not allow changes after one submission.

someone answer blockbuster's question... should essays be double-spaced?

Changes are now allowed! If you look in the instructions there is a section on how to do it under "Application Versions". There is a special link to use after submitting your first application.

When it asks for how many credits your courses are...how should I write it? My school has a semester schedule. Well, see, English is one credit.

Should I write it as:

AP English Literature AP English Literature 1.0

or

AP English Literature 1.0 AP English Literature 1.0

or

AP English Literature 0.5 AP English Literature 0.5

The one you upload, the long essay, yeah. It's double spaced. ^_^ The others, the ones you type in the text box, you don't.

really glad they changed that

Um I think I messed up big time. I clicked submit the first part of the application to Stanford with the common app stuff and I didn't send the supplement, not thinking that it would send. Now that you are allowed to create a second version of the application should I send both the supplement and common app part to Stanford in addition to what I already sent, considering they wont review that?

maybe it's just me, but I'm having trouble understanding your exact problem, Fred
The supplement is not automatically sent when you send the Common App. You have to go into the supplement and click send. For some schools, the Common App and supplement can be sent at different times (doesn't matter which order). For "All-in-One" schools, when you send one of the two, the Common App website will hold on to it until both are sent. And then it will send both to the college. not sure how Stanford works.
Someone correct me if any of this info is wrong

I already sent the common app part but not the supplement part, but I want the common app part unsent or deleted.

FredFred: If it is an all-in-one, the common app part is being held until your supplement is completed....I do not think you can change it now for Stanford.....If you choose to create an alternate version, however, it can be sent to other schools as of today (which I think you know).....Finally, I don't think you can create an alternate version for a school you already had on your list and that you hit submit for....Any changed to common app will have to be communicated to office of admissions

if i apply ed to one uni, can i change all parts of the common appl later? where can i read the full instructions for common appl?

jhl - click on "instructions" at the common app web site.

I'm not sure how the "all-in-one" thing works. Do I submit the CommonApp and then click submit for the Supliment?

the instructions under which part of the site?

I got a question: the common app website says that If I submit an application to an institution, the commonapp will be locked so I can't make further changes. Does this mean that If I send the commonapp to an Early admissions school, the commonapps sent to the RD schools will have to be exactly the same? Or does it mean that only the commonapp sent to that early admissions school will be locked so that I can't make changes to that specific application?

^ They have changed that restriction. You can now create multiple versions and modify each one before submitting to a different school.

dennnis.. read the posts above and on page 39

jhl - Right after you log in to your common app account, the first selection in the left column reads "instructions"!

If I submit the paper application (handwritten), should I write in blue or black ink?
