Official Cornell Transfer 2011

I will be regularly checking my e-mail.

I was told that they only send out decisions by regular mail. Can someone tell me one way or another? I’m ILR (seem to be the only one) so it might be different for me?

Also, what is the URL for the self-access thing? I always forget it.

I am sure one of us will hear from Cornell this week. =)
It may be Ithacakid since he’s closer to the school. Best of luck to everyone!

… (I am soo anxious)

oh man im gonna have trouble sleeping…
mite as well use this time to do some extra studying for orgo =D
wutcha guys do for Halloween guys

and good luck to everyone!!!

Good luck this week, folks! I didn’t get my decision last semester until the beginning of the exam period (May 6 having all materials in by April 7), but I bet that with the smaller volume of spring transfers you all will be more fortunate.

What helped me to de-stress this time last semester was leaving 30 minutes per day to have coffee and read the newspaper. I’m not sure if that’s your jam, but don’t be afraid to take extra time to maintain your sanity. It helped me get through about a month of knowing a decision was imminent. Again, best of luck and I still hope to see y’all next semester!

@Kevlar:
NOthing!
I have a 30 page paper due this week and I’ve been typing all day. I space off to this thread a lot, I guess Cornell is in my head too much. HBU?

■■■■■ harvard
i space out and procrastinate wayyy too much
i just finished BSing a 15 page paper thats due in 2 hours
yea…i understand public health is important, but i dont really care (topic is public h ealth: obesity)

one last thing, a primal scream : AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

ahh weezyf
thanks for the advice
unfortunately i use the internet for news
and we all kno what gratuitous amounts of coffee does to you =/ (i kno >.>)

last semster the first acceptance was on CC was announced on 1-02-2009 at 03:09 PM.

It was 1285th post, btw.

@yeastDNA ???

i dont think decisions will be sent out till mid November… Ive been looking at the transfer thread last year and it seems like they all found out really late :/

@leebruce
It could just be that the ones that were accepted earlier aren’t CC users or they didn’t bother posting.
I called CALS and they said that decisions would begin on the first of November! (today WOO!!!)
Goodluck everyone!

@kevlar22

Yeah, haha, that’s me too. I found that reading the print edition was refreshing, but I’m weird sometimes. The NYT website is pretty good for wasting a half hour, so you might look into that? Whatever it takes to keep you sane :)

All ILR applicants:

I’m calling the office tomorrow to get their fax number so I can send in my midterm report. If you’d like, I’ll ask when non-GT applicants should find out about their decisions.

Just called cals admissions. No decisions have been made yet. I should expect a decision ‘even if my application was sent for review awhile ago’ . I hope shes wrong and they make some decisions todayyy.

Im assuming GTs and community college students who have transfer agreements will get notified first…so for the rest of us…maybe next week?

correction: I should expect a decision MID-NOVEMBER ‘even if my application was sent for review awhile ago’. bleh :</p>

darnit tallfrodo =/
now im gonna be going crazy for another 2 weeks D:
and these days are passing by so slowly =[

@tallfrodo when did you submit ur app and midterm report?
i submitted my app on september 24 and the midterm report on october 26 and i dont attend one of those “transfer agreement institutions”
so its pretty safe to say, we’re not gonna get ours for a while

@weezyf - i’d be interested but they said they would start sending out decisions November 1st I thought.

@weezyf

From the application status site- “Please fax this completed form to the Undergraduate Admissions Office, Attention: Transfer Processor, at (607) 255-5452. The form must include grades and signatures for all classes in which you are currently enrolled”

I faxed it Saturday but it didn’t show up as received yet, I got a confirmation though.
