Was it a different number? Mine still hasn’t shown up as being received so now I’m a little concerned. I guess I’ll wait until tomorrow if it doesn’t show up and then email them. They’re pretty fast about answering anyway.

I wouldn’t imagine it’s a problem. The reason I’m faxing to ILR is that they’ve already changed my status to “File complete and forwarded.” At least I think that’s why (I’m going off of instructions from the GT email). If you only faxed it Saturday, I’d check after 5:00 PM today. That’s when they update the online system.

You said you got a confirmation. How did that work?

It was just a fax confirmation saying it went through. It doesn’t mean anyone was actually there to receive and sort it though. My file isn’t complete so I guess it’s different; I’m still waiting on a professor to mail out my recommendation. I’m also not a GT. Thanks though, I didn’t realize when the system got updated. It would make sense that it didn’t show up then; I’m sure they don’t have people working on the weekend.

Yup, that’s what happened to me. I don’t see why something similar couldn’t work out for you; if application fees aren’t an issue, you could certainly apply for Fall 11 as well if they don’t outright GT you. Since ILR is huge on fit (you may have noticed my less-than-stellar college GPA at the time of application) your persistence could serve you well.

hey guys i have a question regarding GT’s.
So GT’s have a higher chance of getting in right? Are GT’s guaranteed with 100% acceptance or almost? And do all schools in Cornell give out GT letters? :P

GT is just that: guaranteed transfer admission (provided the applicant meets certain guidelines). Mine was just a GPA check (3.3+ no single grade below B), but others are that with the offer being contingent on enrolling in another course or two over the summer/in the next semester. In my case, if I don’t meet the GPA check, I’m considered in the context of the transfer pool as a whole. Otherwise it’s a sure thing.

Per the forms they gave us, Hotel, A&S, CALS, HumEc, AAP and ILR offer GT’s (or TO’s which I gather are similar).

ugh =/
