@harvardhop : haha, you are too nice! I don’t want to come off as the obnoxious CC poster harassing people with questions, so I really appreciate it.

The text of my decision email said to basically take a couple prereqs and get a B or better in them. So, since the application is due February 1, does that mean the decision is just based off of my midterm grades?

@Von: I don’t think you should worry too much about it. If you get a B or higher (also, 3.3) you’ll do fine. Call CALS and ask them directly if you’re still worried.

@TallFrodo: I think we will hear from them Monday, or during the week. I am calling A&S If I don’t get anything by Monday, since I need to know soon.

Yea i know for cals we can call monday and they’ll tell us our decisions. I think edith said the same for cas.
I also know that rejections are released last…boooooo ■■■ lol
at least cas hasnt released anything yet so u have hope harvard! Good luck!! :)

jeez … I applied for A&S (major: Science & Technology Studies). I have been following this thread for some time but didn’t want to say anything because I was afraid of getting my luck jinxed.

Now, I am so tired of the waiting… honestly I think I am out of the game… If they are gonna finish their decisions on next Monday and I haven’t heard anything from them at all, that means I am doomed for sure … :(

@Edithzzle: I think every school has a GT. Best of luck to you! Try calling them on Monday to ask them about your concern.

@tallFrodo: When I called this week I asked when will A&S hear, and she told me to have patience, because they are still reading apps. (I didn’t get an exact date). Please let us know your decision. Think positive about your decision, because It may be that they saved the best for last =).

@Mixter: I don’t think it’s about luck. It’s about fit and meeting all the requirements for the certain school. Don’t feel bad, because I don’t think A&S has released any decisions. I haven’t heared the word Jinxed in a long time…hahah… good times…!

QUESTION FOR EVERYONE: DO YOU THINK THEY READ APPLICATIONS IN THE ORDER THEY RECEIVED THEM? IN THIS CASE— I SENT MY APP ON THE DUE DAY, SO IT MAY BE ONE OF THE LAST ONE READ.

i am very old school, man. lol. And well, I sent my app on the due day as well so maybe we two guys will compete for the last slot, harvardhop.

And I can imagine the rejected mumbling: “d4mn that guy! why couldn’t he just forget about the app?” :))

But if, (please god), we both get accepted. I promise will treat you a dinner in Ithaca when our Odyssey finally brings us there. lol.

Mixter: Sounds like a deal =)… What are the odds that we’re both the last ones? Check out the post I uploaded with the link, it’s very interesting, because it says that people can get a GT with a 3.0.

@investment…i know right…it is God-with Him all things are possible!..one semester screwed me…as I was new in the country. I completed 54 credits in a year ( summer 09, fall 09, spring '10, summer '10) and I took advanced classes even 14 credits in summer.15-17 credits in fall and spring…ec’s; leadership, choir, worked in finance dpt n police dpt in my school e.t.c… my essay showed a great fit for my major and i explained how I would change my country in terms of accounting and also giving back to both communities…US &Nigeria…there are so many relevant things in my essays that i cant explain sufficiently…At the end of this current semester…my credit hrs will be 69…60 transferred to cornell…This is the beginning of my second year in my college…but il be transferring as a junior…as indicated in my credit evaluation form…Im super excited. Like I told Ithacakid, it doesnt hurt to apply…
Thanks tho…

Man. I have a relative living just next to the Monroe Community College of which Cornell has agreement with. I am thinking of moving there now … possibility to get GT with 3.0? Too good to be true … it’s true, isn’t it? :((

Mixter: Do whatever makes you happy, but remember this, not everyone will get a GT. Again, it’s about fit and If you have a AA from a Community College that will probably get you a GT (I think.). Don’t make any plans yet, maybe you got accepted, or a GT!!

@havardhop…thanks a bunch, i truly hope you all get in! @investment…i sent in a revised mid term report which was a 3.5…But I do know i will end up with a higher gpa this semester.
