zacharysmith,

When you said “claimed to have successfully received” is that coming from someone at the admissions office, or is it through the Self Service system? Reason I ask is because they said the same thing to me, but it still haven’t shown up on the system yet.

harvardhop,

It’s a bad thing, unless everyone gets in ;)

I don’t think they have updated their system for awhile. I am positive I turned in all of my necessary materials, however I am still continuing to receive the “x’s” for my transcripts. I don’t feel as if we need to worry about this right now. Maybe consider giving them a call tomorrow and asking about this ( and possibly about how many people apply for CAS and get in hahaha )

I contacted them earlier, they said my files have been forwarded for review.

Awesome! Good luck!

@thezacharysmith: I don’t think they didn’t get the materials. I have not gotten the ApplicantID email so, with this said. It may be that the admissions people haven’t had the opportunity to ‘update’ anything yet. Let’s keep each other posted. I am sure once I get my email (w/id) you will receive a confirmation that your items were received. =) let’s have patience it’s the first week after the deadline.

I just got my confirmation that all of my materials were turned in today! Patience is a virtue, but is very difficult to have in regards to college admission deadlines haha! You never know what was lost in the mail or was sent to the wrong place. That being said, you are correct. No need to panic, considering it has only been five days since the deadline!

CALS here (sophomore at top 25 university—no transfer agreements here)

@thezacharysmith: Nice!

Putting my name into the mix…probably will be applying to the Hotel School (at a CC currently)

@Crownofthesean: Welcome!
@everyone: I just got my appID. =) Good day.

@harvardhop: Thanks! Looking forward to this long process and hopefully culminate with an acceptance :)

just sent my midterm report…crossing my finger! other then that–everything is in!

2011 Spring CALS–AEM

CALS-Development Soc. (DSOC)

@CrownOftheSea: I heard that the Hotel School was easier to get into, however, I don’t know for sure. I hope you get in the Hotel school sounds fun. IDk that’s just my opinion. What kind of background do you have?

@boardingkid: I applied for CAS (sociology), but also requested that they consider me for D.Sociology.

@Siy: Welcome. It seems to me that more people are finding our thread!

@harvardhop: Thanks, I hope you get in as well. I’ve heard that Hotel School is easier to get into as well, but I think only because there’s less people applying. I’ve worked at full-service hotels before (in Vegas too) and other service-oriented jobs (worked at Disneyland too), so hopefully my work experience can only help. I’ve love to go, and if I get accepted I’ll totally accept in a heartbeat

I did not request any other major at all because i already have completed all the pre reqs for DSOC im just really nervous right now…but good luck with SOC at CAS!
